It ran fine for a couple of days and I got up this morning to go to work but it would not turn over. It gave a hissing sound when turned the key to start it up. The lights, radio, etc. work fine. What could the problem be?

I bought a 2003 car in May. Car looked good and clean but I found out last week that srs light does not come on at ignition as supposed. I took the car to authorized dealer and they found out the car had been in an accident and seller (small used car dealer) had popped out the srs light in the dash to prevent buyers from seeing the 'always on' light. Since it is illegal to do that, can I take the car back after 5 months and have seller repair it or am I stuck with it since there's no warranty. What legal claims do I have against the seller? Please advise, I do a lot of highway driving and I've had enough experiences with highway collision. I would love some protection just in case.

I own a six month old 2006 VW GTI. I've recently fallen in love with the Nissan 350Z. And as much as I've put into my GTI and have enjoyed it, it's kinda pissing me off. Electronic malfunctions specifically. I've read (on Yahoo! Answers no less) that Nissan is THE most reliable car manufacturer out right now. The GTI is bought and paid for and I'll get about 20,000 for it after taking out the subs and amps and selling them on the side. So i'll have relatively low payments. I'm hoping maybe some Z owners can give me some recommendations. How the pain at the pump is, is the thrill worth the lack of room? Things like that. I learned stick in my GTI and now I'm hooked. I looooove performance. I'm starting to form an addiction. Sub question: Any other reccommendations? P.S. I just got married and we just bought her an 06 RSX Type-S, so money is a factor. Thanks for your time guys. Let the battle commence.

My friend was on a narrow road and stopped so that car coming in opposite direction could pass. The driver of the car she let pass though didn't adjust their speed and just kept going which resulted in them scraping my friends stationary car. The driver did not stop but luckily a taxi driver witnessed event and knew who person was.

My friend has since found the other driver but they refuse to give their insurance details and are yet to even appologise.

when i step on the acceleration pedal, black smoke pours out of my muffler. i think its clogged. other times when i press on the acceleration, the dark smoke isnt as bad. sometimes its clear smoke. i've checked the oil and other miscalanious stuff in my engine, and for the most part everything looks alright. i have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gs. what do you guys think could be causing this problem? could it really be clogged?
