My car started but won't idle, any idea for me to try?

I have been checking out the specs of cars online.... they dont always specify the mileage and i am keeping tht as one the features i want... so how to know the mileage from there..? any way to calculate from the other given specs?

My van is only 4 years old but when the roads are very wet it literally conks out! Smoke billows from exhaust and no power in 1st or 2nd gear. If i manage to coax into higher gear it can ramble (literally) along until i get home but will only move intermittently in 1st or 2nd. it's a diesel and is not going anywhere right now.

I believe I have often seen aeroplanes standing or being stationery probably waiting for further orders or clearances and always wondered whether it is true that such a huge machine is actually suspended in the air . my friend is not ready to accept that aeroplanes can stand still in mid air. Hi there
I was thinking of buying a mazda 626 here in ireland. Its a super car inside and out so to speak but it is billowing smoke out of the exaust at start - up. The lady told me the head gasket was gone and i checked the price for this online and cant get any set figures....the car is worth €3000 its a 1999 and she will sell it for €800 euro.....i was hoping to pick it up as a run around vechile since my partner has the other car 24/7. But is it too risky to buy even if i spend say €500 fixing it.......pelase let me know thanks

#1. The shop over charged me for my water pump 2. the car never ran right the first day I got it.3 Had to take it back to them for a bad timming gear.4. called 10/12 /06 said that I found oil in my coolent , he said he will call me back and never did .5.10/13/06 broke down on free way called asked for a tow truck he told me who to call . but the towing company said i got to pay .he cant bill the shop. called the shop told him what the towing company said by the time he got around to call the towing guy mmy car was impounded by wsp. can I take my car else where? Can i get a rental car? then who pick up the bill

This morning I was driving behind a car with a Polish registration mark. The registration plate appeared to be hand made which got me thinking....if a Polish person commits a driving offence in in the UK can the British police trace the vehicle and do they have the right to fine them etc? How do we know that they thier cars are roadworthy? Do they pay road tax? Do they require insurance? Can we report them?

Im in the process of purchasing a car right now. Im looking for a lifted truck/pre-runner. Anyways i came across a F-150 with a 4.2 v6 engine with 75,000 miles on it. Its going for 10500 but kelly blue book has the car at only 8300. I believe i can talk it down, but i was wondering if you think 75,000 miles is too much. I dont want to buy a car and have to put out money every month fixing it. Im a college student and those couple thosand i will be paying for it is alot already. I know american cars are not known to be as reliable. My dad had a ford tauras and it transmission problems and broke down around 80,000 miles. I also heard Fords are notorious for Transmission problems. I really want a F-150 or a tacoma but have not yet come across a tacoma i like. I know they are reliable cars. My brother has one and its at 179,457 miles and it runs like a champ. Im just curious how well fords holds up. Thanks

Why do some riders put Hondas or other makes down? I am buying a Honda 1982 CB450T Hawk soon. I love everything about it! Why would someone want to bash the bike that I love??? Low on power? I can see that. But the look and feel of this bike fit my preconceptions of what a motorcycle should be to a T (hehe there's a pun for ya). I don't want to be ridiculed for my choice of bike. It's my love!!! No other design, make, or model has, as of yet to make something better for me!!!

I put a 94 acura integra Ls motor into my 91 honda civic, everything is wired right and the car even starts but after a few minutes it shuts down by itself??? I was told to change the sensor under the distributer and that might be the problem, so i did that but thats not it either. Anybody have any ideas?? I need a honda techs opinion on the problem, so i can get my car on the road. Please help.
