My 88 Mercury Cougar is leaking radiator fluid not from the radiator or hose itself but from under the bottom of the motor and it only does it when the car is stopped. Help! Never seen a leak like this!

The player works beautifully for playing Region 1 (US) NTCS discs. Even when re-authoring a region 2 disc to support region 1, the player still refuse to play the discs if they are encoded in PAL. This is hyper weird, since all stand-alone players alway play both PAL and NTCS.

I am interested in getting into the trucking biz, I want to buy a used tractor and use it for about 6-months to a year before I get another one, I am thinking I can start of with a 98', what do u think? Also, I know a man who owns a trucking company, I would be leasing the truck to him, and I would drive it. Experienced truckers, your input is extra valuable, oh the more info about the miles on the truck or the types, would really be helpful thanks.

My spedometer occasionally stops working, the needle falls down to zero mph. Seems to happen more when I travel over bumps in the road, but it does happen when the road is smooth. The needle also sometimes jumps up from zero and then fall back down when
I go over bumps, like it is trying to work again. The tachometer is fine, but the gas gauge sometimes seems to fluctuate when the spedometer stops working. Could it be a bad electrical connecter, wiring problem, computer problem, transmission speed sensor, or something else I haven't thought of.

I want to purchase a Metropolitan but fear that the top speed may be too slow to safely operate the scooter on arterial roads (ie 45 mph). Does anyone know if there are any tricks to increasing the to speed?

My only car is a 1978 Ford F250 pickup truck that my Dad gave me last month. It gets horrible gas milage because it's rear end is geared too high. I want to replace it. I can't get a new one, it's too expensive. Will I be able to find one in a junk yard? What kind of quality will that be? How much would that cost? My Dad can replace it himself.

I was on here a couple of days ago, and I had some questions about my transmission. Ok I have a 4 cylinder, 20002 mazda 626 with 72,000 miles. So my question is basically what should I do? I was told that I would need work done on my transmission ( i think he said he would rebuild it) and the estimate would be $1,400 dollars and up. I am a college student and would like to know if this is worth it. My transmission is from Ford and I heard that Ford makes awful transmissions. I don't know what to do. Is there a cheaper route that I can take. I have the money to pay, but is it worth it? Please help, and give me extra advice if you have any. THANKS!

I am a college student now, and am getting a car in the next 6 months or so. Right now I am driving a hand-me-down '95 Maxima. I am really leaning toward the 2006 Civic Si (new) because of its performance/price/appearance.

The only problem is, I have not driven a stick shift in my life, and the Si is only offered in manual. I am familiar with how MT cars work (I know when to shift and how to let off the gas/clutch), but have never actually driven one.

My parents have had MT cars in the past, so I am sure they could help me out. Is it not wise to learn on a new car? Thank you, and advice is appreciated.

Second, (not that I am a crazy driver), but does the 06 Civic Si throw you back in the seat when under hard acceleration? I want a car that can be aggressive if necessary. Thanks for any help.

With the price of gas as bad as it is and not likely to get better in the long run, I'm considering learning to ride and using a bike as my primary commuting vehicle, at least in good weather (I live in the Denver area). My commute is about 25 miles, one way, and generally takes about 30-40 minutes, mostly on highways, part of it rated at 75 mph. I've never ridden a bike as an adult but did ride a dirt bike a couple of times as a kid, and (don't laugh) had a moped in high school. I'm 44 years old and a pretty big guy, 6'1" and 240 lb, 31" inseam. I doubt I'm going to be intimidated by a fairly big bike, so am thinking about a cruiser in the 500cc-750cc range as a first bike. I'm wondering what kind of features I should be looking for and which brands/models I should be looking at. Also want something that won't require a lot of maintenance - the whole idea is to stay inexpensive. Don't really want a sport bike, either - I don't want to ride bent over. Thanks for your suggestions...

What do you think could be done in the future to improve this issue. Things like urban planning, more trains etc...

The bewildering part is that it has fuel pressure at the rail (checked with gauge), it has spark, and it has compression. It cranks strong but does not even think of firing -- no sputtering or anything.

Because the spark plugs are not wet and because I cannot hear the injectors click with my stethoscope, I do not believe that the injectors are firing.

I have replaced the Crank Position Sensor and the computer (PCM) and have gotten the same results. I have checked all of the grounds to the PCM as well as the 12V leads and they all check out. The leads to the CPS are also good. The injectors are getting 12V+ on one lead but I am not sure if they are getting the negative pulse from the PCM (although I know the wire is good).

Also strange is that the PCM will not allow me to read the EEC-IV codes although all of the wires to the test connector test out alright.

I'm about out of ideas here -- you guys have any thoughts?
