Is the vehicle financed?
If it is your first call should be to the bank. They have the title and you are unable to change the owner information without it.

If you have the title you can call your local DMV and it is just a matter of signing a few forms. They will lead you to who can do that paperwork for you (it varies from state to state)

you're the two criminal vendors of the vehicle with an equivalent interest interior the vehicle. The coverage and her loss of a drivers license do not recommend a element. The identify is the possession rfile. The possession rfile lists you the two. because it is and until eventually the identify gets signed over to you via her or a courtroom says otherwise, you're the two equivalent vendors interior the vehicle.

the best thing to do is go to either your county tax collection office or to you local department of motor vehicles and do a satisfaction of lien/title transfer. I am assuming that there was a debt owed against the vehicle to the second party. If the debt is satisfied, you and the co-owner must both go to either office (tax or dmv) and have the tittle transferred to one name. You must have the co-owner present or have a written affidavit of power of attorney over the said property/vehicle. please e-mail if you have any problems, also check the dmv website for information.

DMV..have them send you the forms for removing a name

if your first on the title..then all you need to do is have the 2nd person sign the title..and send it to dmv..they will send u a new title..

if your the 2nd on the title..the 1st person needs to transfer the car to you via DMV papers

If the lein is paid in full you can have the title put only in your name, if there is still a lein on the car you are s.o.l. unless you can get the bank to rewrite the loan with just you as the borrower/buyer.

Start your own new one or talk to the guy and ask him if you can buy his part of it. I had sort of the same problem and I just started a new one but you may want to talk to the guy and ask him if you can buy his part of the dealer. Thats who you need to contact.
