My system killed my battery within 15 minutes. Also, think, the interior light can kill your battery overnight, and a stock radio drains more energy than that. My Sirius Satellite kills it within three days, and my CB, depending on how much traffic is on, lasted for about a week.

It depends on the condition of the battery and it's state of charge. With a good battery fully charged you should be safe if you limit it to a half-hour or less. It also depends on if there are any other electrical items drawing juice at the same time if you have any lights on etc. And if the radio is a high powered aftermarket one with a amplifier and extra speakers then it will draw the battery down faster than if the radio is a factory stock one.

There is no solid answer to this question because it depends on how much power your particular brand of radio draws and what size and condition of battery your car is equipped with.
Since a radio draws relatively little power, assuming you have a good battery you should be able to listen pretty much all day before it runs it down far enough that the car won't start.

relies upon, yet while the battery is in sturdy difficulty and the radio is the inventory unit, then you certainly pays attention to the radio for actually hours in the previous you drain the battery. there'll be some drain on the battery, yet once you're purely talking some timeframe of an hour or 2, then the drain would be negligible. With mentioned, if the vehicle has a extreme end aftermarket audio setup with a pair amps and sub woofers and such, then the battery could be drained lots greater quickly.

time and temperature are what shortens the life of a battery as well as use, if the battery is old and temp is high or really low it wont take very long to drain a battery.if the battery is new and temp is high or low it may not drain right away but may drain low enough to not power the vehicle to start to save some trouble listen to a portable music device when not in a vehicle

matters the size and condition of your battery, the power of your stereo, the volume and type of music youre listening to as well as other factors. For me, i last about 30 minutes on loud, but with an extremely powerful stereo. Most people would be able to for 6 hours or more i would guess.

Depends on the power consumption of the radio and how big your battery is. Quite a while though.

well depends on the battery and if it is summer or winter..in winter it takes less time to kill the battery..but i would say it's probably best in the warmer seasons, to limit it to 2-3 hours..and there should be no problems

On a modern, well looked after car? Certainly longer than you can do without food and water, so do not worry about it!
