I have been working on my Private Certificate for 6 months. I'm on my 3rd CFI and out about $6K. Is it worth the time, money and effort if you don't plan on making a carreer out of flying? Is there a secret to staying motivated?

1st CFI was a great pilot...he went on to the airlines. 2nd was an idiot...he buzzed a concert during my long cross country. 3rd is a new CFI.

I love flying...just bored with being a student.

THis is a reposting with clarification. It is about renewing the NY car registration for two more years, NOT about turning in plates....

How to fight 2 registration expired 65 bucks each NY tickets on a car.?
A long problem with transmission even after Lee Myles rebuilt it incorrectly this year... car was moved to next Queens area w/o parking signs....ignored for a long time. Unfortunately, NY State apparantly never sent a reminder about the registration expiring, so says the woman at DMV ( Who said that DMV has suspended doing that recently) ....and two 65 buck each tickets were on the windshield. One was written around ten minute s beofre we arrived at the car this morning that plan to struggle with it bucking, to the DMV in Queens County.

Any ideas fighting these tickets? 130 bucks is highway robbery, and especialy since a mailed notice or registration money due card was never received or sent by DMV

My Sister In Law dented my door by closing the door with her A$$, I need to know if I should bring it to my insurance company or hers. The cars in only 4 months old and I am furious. I know she doesn't have the money to pay. any Advice??? I would go thru my insurance for the repair if it's an option.

Someone I know thought it was a good idea to lease a fully equipped black Audi a year ago with a 540.00 payment a month. He regrets the decision, but he loves the car in mint condition, because that'w how he takes care of everything in his life as far as cleanliness, etc.

My boyfriend jumped the battery with the cables switched, + on the - and visa versa. Since then it won't shift out of 2nd gear. I was told he fried the capacitors on the ECU and the ECU must be replaced. Any help would be appreciated!!

I drive 60 miles a day for work, so my thought was to save gas by getting the hybrid in its place? Is it worth paying 80 bucks a month more on a car payment though just to save gas? my clutch does not seem to be working the rod that stickes out of the engine it that suppose to push in to engauge the clutch or how does that work what could be wrong i think it is something on my cover because i have tried 2 engines any ideas?

In idle the car runs at 2 rpms. When i put it in gear it runs at normal RMPS but is still given gas I do not give it. This problem just started today. For example, I will be driving 55 and the car will keep its speed without me giving it gas. Yes I can brake and the car slows down, but still slightly wants to go forward.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Trk. WHen I am driving it makes a dinging noise and perdoically a lamp out light will come on and blinks, then go off and stay off. Doesn't do this regulary just interminant (sp) Anyone else have this problem.

I moved to CA in Jan 2006, I bought a new car and kept my old car which was registered in CT. My old car just sat around and before I could sell it the CT registration expired in May 2006. I then sold it more than a month later to a person in CA. Do I need to contact any DMV? Or can I just drop the car from my insurance without worry?

As it turns out my boyfriend took me off his insurance in 2004 and didn't tell me (he forged my signature on the paperwork). I only found out about it when I got into a fender bender last week (my fault) and left a slight dent on a woman's car. Well, imagine my suprise when the insurance agent told me my bf took me off the policy and then the agent emailed me the exclusion document with "my signature" which was obviously my bf's handwriting. What will happen to me now? Thanks for any info you can give.
