Kitta98, Actually I CAN well afford to drive a BMW or a Merc, but I choose not to partly because of the idiots who drive these car marques.

BMW = Bad Mannered W__krs, sorry but its true

Only three types of people own merc's: old men, pimps and drug dealers!

Volvo driver's are not much better as the drivers think they cannot be hurt in their tanks!

That's like saying all guys wearing suits are rich, arrogant, and pompous.

BMW's are purchased [usually] because the driver has good taste in cars, has driven a German vehicle, and can't stand the plastic North American cars, or over-dampened Asian ones.

There are some arrogant BMW drivers - but no worse than that guy with the mullet driving a 1985 Ford Tempo spitting out blue smoke that weaves in and out of traffic. Just, you remember the BMW driver better since you're envious of his car ;)

It's certainly true of many 3-series drivers. You don't tend to get the same problem with 5 & 7 series. As has been said, it's the person not the car, but it does seem that BMW drivers have an "I own the road, and the rules don't apply to me" approach

I think it has to do with the owner's/driver's personality. It can also be a phase. When someone buys a new car which is relatively higher cost than a regular honda, ford, etc., they engage in a feeling where they have a better car compared to everyone else. However, when the car gets older, the owner will lose that feeling.

I own a 2006 BMW and I do feel that my car is better than everyone else's. However, I'll never put anyone down because they're car is cheaper than mine.

I'm really sorry you feel that way, I bought one a few months ago but my reasons for buying it were it's a well built car and this one has next to no options. I've been in the automotive trade since I was a kid, so I know what I want in a car. Oh by the way I build old cars and am in the midst of restoring a '68 Corvette and love the trade and cars in general

They're just impatient, they have FAST cars that have the power to be quicker off the mark than most. BMW's are about the only thing that can beat my Golf (deisel) at a set of lights, usless info.
But, hubby drives a BMW so i'd best disagree with you.

Those Bavarian Motor Works try to be but they aren't. And Mercedes?! That piece of overhyped German crap? The VW is a better car! They know they must fall before the superiority of a Jaguar.

I totally agree with you about BMW and Mercedes drivers!
They've paid so much for their cars, that yes, they do think they own the road.
Big arrogant cars! big arrogant heads!!!

It isn't usually the car, it's the driver and his or her attitude. The drivers I think are most arrogant are those with cell phones in their hands and ears, cutting me off in my own lane, and then giving ME the finger.....heck, that wasn't a BMW, it was a Yugo.

You are stereotyping. However, you're right. Usually its the upper class that thinks they are better than everyone else. They are upper class so they can afford a BMW's price tag. And they can afford the huge bill when it breaks down. So theres the association.

But dont hate the car. Hate the arrogant bastards that are taking over america.
