I've narrowed my search down to those two and it wouldn't hurt to take advantage of the year end clearances going on now... Don't want to spend more than $23,500.

To the person who the Rav4's were kinda '*****'... i'm no homophobe, but the gay-ish stigma DID cross my mind, but I was always under the impression the first gen's were the femmy ones.

my pic would be a Honda Element. it is very spacious on the inside and the rear seats move out of way say you can extend your cargo capacity. also has rubberr flooring instead of carpet that is easier to clean

I'd suggest the Ford Escape or the Mazda Tribute. If you're on such a tight budget why not get a used small SUV?
