manager $100.00 non refundable money order to hold said apt, and it included my ap fee. The trouble is, after I did my ap, I ask her where my apt was located. I drove down a ways, (what sold me on the one she showed me was the patio.) It was huge, with concrete, and grass, shrubs, and even a tree. She said yes they had great patios with grass etc. for my toy poodle. When I found my apt to be, the patio was 1/4 the size of the other one, and nothing but concrete. I love the apt, and she has my non-refundable $100.00, but how do I handle the misleading awful patio?

I have no choice, but to let it go. What other legal ramifications (other than bad credit) can happen from this? Can they take more money or anything?

I requested the earnest money deposit be sent to me when the buyer defaulted on the real estate contract. The title company never responded to my request until I filed a complain t with the TX Dept. of Ins.--They claim now that I released the funds and furnished a forged release form with the wrong cotract date and buyer. I read somewhere that I should now be paid 3 times the orgiinal earnest money amount, but now I can't find that rule----Feds have been notified-so far, I've heard nothing. :(
I expect to be paid what's legally due me. Anyone....??

I would like to know a proper or reasonable amount of time in advance of buying house that you go in and talk to a bank as to how much a person can borrow. I would not be looking to buy a house for about a year and would likely talk to a banker in advance of actually looking for a home, so I know how much I can afford. What is a time line for this?

I'm trying to find low income apartments so that I can move out of my parents house. Some of these apartments are in not so nice parts of town. So I was wondering in people who rent can get alarm systems installed in their apartments, or is this only for people who own homes?

That I am acting as guarantor of. I decided to go into a contract with a person who paid me well to act as guarantor to secure a property. The problem is I cant reach her and I have been interested in getting keys to the house to check it out. I know its dumb that I never have taken a look at the property because at the time I didnt want it, but now im thinking maybe of moving into it and using it for my own personal benefit since it is mine. My question is, where can I get keys from it if she is no where to be found since it is my property legally?

I was told that I was on the "very short list" of people he would rent a house to. He said he would probably be making calls tonight. If he doesn't call me by 8 PM, should I go ahead and make the call? I am very anxious to get the house but I don't want to upset him.
If any landlords are present, I'd really appreciate your answer!

Im trying to legally get out of I lease of an apartment that the landlord should have never rented to me in the first place. I've already spoke to a lawyer and wont have a problem since the place was illegal to begin with. The landlord told us the other day that he will let us out of the lease if we repaint the one wall that we painted green. We did that and went there to collect our money and break the lease. He told my husband that he was deducting $500 so my husband walked away without anything. In the meantime I saw the apartment listed back in the paper. Can this landlord get someone else to sign the lease while we still technically have a lease at this residence.

I should state that we never even lived there because the place was a mess and everything was broken

I'm a self employed property owner. The property that I'm renting is gonna net me about $300,000. This is after everything, and puts me in the 33% federal tax bracket. What are some other tax shelters I can use? If I were to pay an additional $100k toward the principal of my mortgage, could I use that as a deduction?

If I am unable to pay this fee within the 30 days can my wages be garnish in the state of Texas or will I only have a bad credit rating.

We have seen one on at £475K but think it is way over priced. What do they expect the offeres to come in at and what is a respectable bid to put in to negotiate to the lower end of the expected range? We have a completed chain below us and the house is good, but not ideal.

I have a settlement from court ordering someone to pay me but that person refuses. The court asked me to provide them with the persons address but my problem is that I do not know the exact apartment where that person lives, only the address. The building has over a hundred apartments and the listing in the lobby doesn't have that persons name. Any ideas on how I can find out the apartment number?

My father in law is 86 and failing. He wants my wife to buy his house by paying off her brothers, for there part of the inheritence. The brothers have agreed to it. We would do a quick claim for the transaction leaving my father in laws name on title with both my self and my wifes. All would be recorded. Our current house is being sold and this would become our primary home. We live in California. Should we do this?
