Approximately how long would it take to pay the mortgage off? Also is Bi-Weekly payment option really worth it? I know they charge a setup fee for about $395.00. But wouldn't it be better to pay an extra $200.00 per month x 12 months (=extra $2,400.00 per year) toward prinicple with a separate mailed in check and letter of explanation with the words "Payment Toward Principal" written on the check.
Interest Rate: 8.990% Fixed.

My HOA is trying to charge me 100$ late fee on a 270$ prepay quarterly I'm trying to find out info if they are aloud to do this. I found a new statue that passed on July 1 /07 that states. (a) If the declaration or bylaws so provide, the association may also
charge an administrative late fee in an amount not to exceed the greater of
$25 or 5 percent of the amount of each installment that is paid past the due
date. Its statue bill 720.3085 can anyone find info or tell me if the can only charge me the 5% which only comes to 13.50$ not 100.00$ please answer asap thank you.

I am planning to buy an investment property. All my instincts say that it would be wise to form a compny for that. I am pre approved for a mortage but I have no clue how it works. My question is Mortgage company approved me not the new company that I am planning to form, which I will use to buy the property. How does this technically work can someone help me please ?

I live in a moble home park in SD, My son is in jail and will be getting out soon. The city owns the land and leases it to a private investor.I recently got a letter from the leaser that if my son moves in or visits me I will be immediatly evicted.I have lived here 8 years and always pay space rent on time.I think someone should at least be given a chance. By the way there is a convicted child molestor living here.Charged with lewd and lascivios acts with a child under the age of 14. He is 57 years old. Is this fair?

My air conditioner stopped working a couple days ago. I called my landlord, but he has not returned my calls. It was 96 degrees in my house when I left for work this morning at 5 AM. I cant sleep and I spent most of last night chilling in a cool bath. If I call for a/c service, can I be reimbursed? Can I deduct it from the rent? What does the law say?

We are coming out of a deed in lieu of foreclosure and cannot get a home loan right now. Family members have offered to buy us a home then we assume the loan or buy from them later when our credit score gets better. The equity will be ours. I am not so sure this is a better idea than leasing to buy a home on our own. It sounds easier than it might really be. What would some potential pros & cons be?This will be done in FL.

What is the best way to lower my property tax valuation. They are valuating my home by $30,000 more than it's worth. How do I let them know this house will not sell for that much and needs work?

less than asking price? The properties have acreage, nice homes but have been on the market for a couple of months. The location is good for us because it is right outside booming areas of town. They are asking $340k for $184k appraised home and $400 for a $180k. Will a bank loan us money if there is such a discrepancy? I was thinking about offering somewhere in the lower $200's.

I personaly hate it. Living in a rapidly growing area in the US, I find so much beautiful land gobbled up by developers. Across what was once a farmland that gave us food is now rows and rows of houses that all look alike, and only those making great money can live there. Developers will stop at nothing to get the land they want, forcing families who have lived on a piece of land for generations to sell, only to see it turn into another Wal-mart strip mall.
So what are some of your opinions on suburban sprawl?

Are you sick of seeing condos and townhomes being built in every corner? Shouldn't more builders build single family homes and affordable apartments, for locals and stop catering to tourists? who agrees with me? COMMON.

I posted a question the other day and got great answers. My question is this: Lets say your mortgage is due the 15th of each month and you have a grace period until the 24th. Does foreclosure happen on the due date or day after the grace period? I did research and my state, Mississippi, has 60 days. What date does foreclosure happen? Trying to get my ducks in a row, or at least try.

I've now discovered the 6 month lease seems to be a joint tenancy, with 3 separate individuals being named as 'The Tenant', the estate agent did not point this out to me. I cannot break my lease unless I find a replacement tenant first. Surely the landlord should not be allowed to do this to circumvent the HMO regulations? Is there any way I can make them agree to my putting a lock on my door?

I live in a mobile home park. The owner's chose the most obnoxious people to be the landlords and they are messing with everyone. I was told I told I was only allowed to use the back door of my own trailer (I purchased it) in the case of an emergency because I was stepping into the neighbors front yard. I have a gorgeous flower bed and they said I have regular grass in the border grass. I told them to leave me alone or I would sell my trailer to a black family and they implied something would happen to my trailer. I am tired of the harrassment. I consider myself a great neighbor and tenant, but prior to them being landlord, I use to make fun of her lying, bragging husband, now revenge is theirs. What can I do.

Hopefully a real estate agent will see this, I only want to spend 2,000 a month on rent and/or house payment I could go up to to the $2,300 range but I'd rather not. Also I would need at least a 3 BR in a safe place.

We are unsure to pay more off the mortage in the next two years or extend for more room, if we pay more off the house mortage. then the mortage will go down and the equity of the home would go up, but if we extend we would have a lot more room because our house is very small! Then if we wanted to we could have a baby because the mortage repayments would go down. What should we do, as we are unsure?
