...of the mid 20th century? Would landlords indeed feel economically worse off if the law was changed to accept all? The reason I ask, is that a friend who left school the same time, and worked soon after leaving school in the mid eighties, was involved in an accident a couple of years ago, and suffere from epilepsy. He searched for flats in Birmingham, but was told 'no DSS', despite telling landlords of his situation. Are epileptics (and other disabled in the UK) the blacks and Irish of the - er, understanding - 21st century? Will this bugbear ever be changed?

FOR REAL ESTATE PROS, PLEASE
What color should I paint the outside of my home for maximum resale value? I live in the southern US, if that helps.
BTW, currently, it's pea green.
I want people to see my house and have a pocketbook opening, checking book reaching, check writing reaction. Ya know?

Recently, my landlord entered my rental home (without my consent, she has a key) and took my cordless land-line telephone and my cablebox for non-payment of utilities? Can a landlord seize your personal property for non-payment?

I thought this is good because then I don't have to shop around, but i heard it is bad, because one person can not represent two cases at the same time. Is this true? What are the disadvantages?

I'm in the process of closing on a foreclosed house in a wonderful area. I'm getting the house for an awesome price, as it is a 2 bedroom with one possible bedroom in the basement. The house is completely updated including a finished basement. The basement has some seepage in the basement, which appears to be from poor grading around the house and also the possible cause of a backed up drain. I've looked at tons of foreclosed properties and found this one to be the most well put together. What are your thoughts?

The apartment complex that we lease has set up a "bank inspection". They will be coming into our unit to inspect it, but why? What is a bank inspection exactly? What will they be inspecting?

I'm currently in the process of preparing for the CA real estate brokers' exam, primarily so I can represent myself in my real estate transactions. I've had friends who have represented themselves as FSBO, without an license or agent, and I'm debating that route as well.

Does anyone know the pros and cons of representing yourself as a broker or just representing yourself without a license? Thank you for any insight that you might be able to provide.

I've gotten myself into financial difficulties (thanks to my fiance) and can't afford to pay some of my bills. If I just had my house pmt that would be great, but I've racked up some credit cards and I can't afford the payments on them along with everything else. My fiance is moving out and he has been helping me with the payments. I'm only working part time now and have a 2 years old, plus starting school full time this fall. I need help! if I sell my home I can take the capital and pay off eveything and be debt free.

We are preapproved on our loan from another bank. The house we are looking at was almost in foreclosure when we put our offer in. There are several other houses in the area going into foreclosure and many more for sale, so why would the bank take so long?

Me and my boyfriend found a house we want to rent it's 550$ a mo. Whats the proper way to negotiate with the real estate

2007-05-11 09:42:06 · 9 answers · asked by Anonymous

Is this normal?? Does that mean that the other lender has denied me?? She said she is still working with the first lender, but she thinks that this other lender might be able to give me a better deal.. What do you guys think??

Who knew that putting a mortgage on a free and clear house worth over $550k would be so difficult!!!!!!!

I was also thinking of trying to get the home equity loan through one of my credit card companies (Bank of America or Capital One) or my bank.. Would that be wise or should I just let my broker keep working on it?? What is a reasonable time frame to expect this thing to be done if she submitted my "packet" to the new lender first thing this morning??

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance everyone!!

my mom and i had our house appraised just a few minutes ago and the guy didn't even look at everything(we payed 500 dollars for him to appraise our house)and he said things like "this is your daughter's bedroom!?"as if it was gross and he claimed that he hates mountains(we live in the mountains!) and he "likes flat land" and then a pine needle(we live in the redwoods in California)fell on his shirt and he "had to" remove his shirt!!! he also laughed at my mom's wonderful yard work and told her that her grass sucked(it's hard to grow grass in the woods)and then kept saying that our house basically sucked and laughed at us and told us that we should see his house since our house is ugly!!! I'M REALLY ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!
we got our flooring redone, our gardening done, our septic fixed, etc and he totally insulted us!!! i think our house looks good for a Californian house!!!
i can't believe he was so rude!
how can i get a reappraisal from someone who doesn't hate us!?
please help!:(
