I am trying to sell a house in Phoenix near downtown it’s a duplex. It was a fixer upper I had put lots of work and money and I am trying to sell it. I have a realtor so I am not trying to sell by myself. The only people who want to buy it are not qualified or have bad credit. I had a buyer who wanted me to pay all his closing fees and $15, 000.00 carryback for 3 years- I thought it was a bad deal for me. Please give me you feedback about carryback and if the prices will go up or stay the same. I had tried to rent it out but tenants want to have a long term and I want to have from month to month. Please give me your feedback.

My mother was going to move into these buildings and paid the scurity deposit, but then she changed her mind before the lease was drawn up. The deposit was not refunded, and she was told she would not get it back. The only document she ever signed was the application. Are they not supposed to refund that back to her?

My husband and I are in our early twenties, i've been renting since the age of 16, and i think it's time to buy a house. We are going to be starting a family asap, and a one-bedroom apartment won't cut it for three people and pets.

Since i'm completely clueless as to how mortgage's work, what's the first step? Do we discuss this with our banks, have to save up at least 20 grand? Take out a loan? How does a mortgage work?

We're both looking to getting a house within the next year, does this sound reasonable? We both have full time jobs, I bartend, he works $13/hr. With our income do you think we have a chance of buying?

I feel as if i've wasted thousands of dollars from renting, which could have just gone into a new house.

I've just had an offer accepted on a house in England, I want to move in ASAP so I don't have to keep paying rent on the flat I'm in at the moment but I'm the bottom of a chain. Can I ask the current owners of the house I've bought to move out so I can move in? Is that out of order?

Our landlord ( a friend)let us live in a vacant house for two years free rent. We never signed a rental agreement. He got fired and a realestate agent is now in charge, so they served us with a 3 day pay rent or quit notice. It is $20,000 worth of back rent. What can we do.

I have 500k mortgage at 6% for 10 years. I could make now an extra payment of 100k principle only. Would it be smart? Pros & cons?
Inflation affect on the mortgage?
This is commercial rental property, tax advantages of the mortgage?
Would the 100k payment be applied to the year one or the year 10? Meaning that the year 1 I am paying a lot more of interest than the year 10. Or how does that work...I am confused :-)
.
My thinking about this is: I could put this 100k bank and get risk free 6% interest.
Inflation is about 4 % yearly and after 10 years 500k mortgage ‘’value’’ would be about 320k because the inflation eats it away. (I hear that the inflation is much more, 4% is the ''oficial'' number??)
The main reason for my 100k payment would be to save on the interest on the year number 1, because that is when the interest payments are the greatest. And of course the sooner the property is free and clear the better. Current rent covers the yearly mortgage etc costs
