Does anyone know what the current capital gains tax rate is when trying to flip a house? Is the tax rate dependent on the profit made on the sale? Say I "flip" a house this fall....do I have to declare the profit on my taxes come the end of the year?

Any and all advice is much appreciated.

My hubby is trying to open his own garage to work on/customize cars and we can't really find anything.

We've thought about building a small garage to start off with but would rather lease one. I've searched a few sites but nothing turned up for our area.(Greenville County ,SC).

My family owns a trailer and they have 1 sewage system to use, but my uncle owns another trailer hooked up to the same sewage system. Can you have that or is it illegal? I'm wondering because my aunt is wanting to turn us in to the health department when they already know and i want to know how that is possible. So if anyone knows if that is allowed or is she can turn us in i like to have some answers. thank you.

My morgage company keeps getting the information in my escrow wrong. I have tried calling but just ended up with someone who wouldnt listen to what I was trying to explain, she only knew what the computer in front of her was saying. My taxes were broken down to two different times during the year, one large sum in March which I had to persue them to pay eventhough my morgage states the bill was sent straight to them, and the second time is in October which is less than $100.00. They are trying to raise my escrow which is raising my morgage by $200.00 a month because they state that the taxes paid in March were unexpected expenses and still show me owning the large sum in October. Plus they over estimated my insurance payment by over 150.00. I have papers from both the local tax department and my home owner insurance which I have faxed to the escrow department, but I keep getting the same wrong bill. What can I do????

My husband and I are considering moving to the San Diego Country Estates area of Ramona. If anyone here lives in Ramona, I'd appreciate any feedback on how you feel about living there. How is the commute on the 67? Have you had any problems with the HOA? Anything else you think would be useful for me to know about living in Ramona? Thanks!

have a house which we have completly renovated!had i valued and made48% equity!!

the dilema is that things went a little wrong a while ago and now our credit rating is poor although we have a large sum to put down our bank will not give us another mortgage! so we went to a lender specialising in our situation. the apr is high and will still be in debt with a larger mortgage!!
would you remortgage your house

Just entered in to a lease option, very basic contract without legal loopholes, and this house has some significnat problems. We knoew of the basic ones as we walked through and viewed the house for leasing. However, Now that we have spent a week here, some HUGE problems are creeping out. The air conditioning system does not work properly, the Piers & Beams are rotted and some termite eaten, some even showing sign of where part of the house has burned before.

As with most real estate selling transactions, disclosure should have been done. Do I have grounds to back out with such major issues as previous fire and major termite damage now being prevalent without disclosure having been done?
