My husband and I are considering moving to the San Diego Country Estates area of Ramona. If anyone here lives in Ramona, I'd appreciate any feedback on how you feel about living there. How is the commute on the 67? Have you had any problems with the HOA? Anything else you think would be useful for me to know about living in Ramona? Thanks!

HI there ! I live in the Country Estates, I don't know which way you'll be driving but we do have a lot of traffic early on in the am, that tapers off about 8:30 ish, then the slight traffic coming back into Ramona in the evening.

I enjoy the Estates, very nice, pretty, only a 10min drive into town when you go shopping, but we only have a Kmart, nothing like a Wal-Mart or anything, then 2 grocery stores (Albertsons,Stater Bros) Rite Aid.... some good restaurants. No real problems with the HOA, they do make sure that the owners have clean properties.

Hope this helped!

Living In Ramona Ca

Don't live there, but my business takes me there regularly. Commute on the 67 is jammed in rush hour. A large proportion of folks go down Wildcat Canyon Road instead, one of the scarier drives I know. I haven't heard any tales of the HOA being especially evil.

Ramona is mostly transformed from a rural town to a suburban bedroom community, but there's some growing pains, mostly due to inadequate planning.
