Im scared, I have 2 young kids and a wife depending on me. We have had a stretch of unexpected costs and bad decisions as well. Im 5k from being current and I have sufficient income to keep it that way now. Is this partial claim a good idea? What about this company called "US homestead protection" ?

we filed for ch 13 last year coz we were behind on our mortgage, we were unable to keep up with ch 13 payments and mortgage, coz we lost our jobs. what do we do? we have equity in the home, enough to pay off all our debts (credit cards, late mortgage payments even car payments). We are afraid that we will get our home foreclosed! I have contacted my bankruptcy lawyer, but he has not responded. What do I do? Please help!

I need to move in about 6 months, but my current mortgage has a nice 5.1% rate. If I sell my current house and buy a new house, I'd be in the 7% range, which means I have to get a smaller house. Is there any options for me to keep this rate somehow? I know there are portable mortgages out there (etrade has one) that let you transfer your mortgage to another house, but I don't have this kind of mortgage. Should I maybe keep this house and rent it out and just rent a place? Any other suggestions?

I've owned my home for about 4 yrs and bought it with a new furnace/central air and new roof. I have since replaced all the windows, redone my kitchen, painted, added on a deck and put in new flooring (hard wood) in 3 different rooms. Anything else I can do to add value? What do you think all of those improvements are worth?

I found my new home by myself one day. The next day another realtor took me to a close by neighborhood (same builder). This realtor ended up on my contract that I signed since the builder knew about her. Now the first realtor is threatening to get the 3% commission from me since she's not on the contract and the builder won't put her on since she never came out with me. I asked her if I could go out looking without her and she didn't balk so I'm assumed it was ok to look at totally new homes without her. The 2nd realtor tells me the buyer's agreement has no legal standing but I'm worried. Can I be sued/am I liable?
