I am wondering if a house sells in Phoenix, Arizona, how long is the typical escrow? Who/what decides how long that escrow is? Does commercial property have a longer escrow? Thank you for any help you can give me.

After living in a basement apt for two weeks we find out the landlord(lives upstairs)grows pot in back yard, and smokes it. We both work at a no nonsense job, where we could be terminated for something like this. We gave a weeks notice and moved out. We had paid the rent, and he gave a thumbs up on the walk trough of the apt. Now he won't return our security deposit. What can we do to get it back?

I plan to relocate to Tennessee from New Jersey next year. As a tractor trailer driver, employment is not an issue for me in another state, however, my wife, who works in retirement planning would need to search for a new job. How does the mortgage company qualify us for a mortgage during this relocation process? Would she have to have a job lined up already or would they look at her history and potential to earn? I will also be switching companies, in the same industry. How does a mortgage company view my potential to earn? A letter from the new employer? Is it even possible to get pre-qualified? Would they pre-qualify us based on our current income? We currenty own our home and would be selling it. We have never done this before and have no idea how it works. Any advice or information to help us prepare would be appreciated.

Me and my fiance are trying to get on our feet and start fresh in a new town. We have both been at our jobs for about 2 months. Our credit is shot our credit scores are 549-552, with quite a few collections. We need to find a rental in less then two weeks (our house sitting job ends). We do have a co-signer but have yet to find a rental. We also have the money for the deposit and rent. We just need a chance. Any suggestions???

Today the managers of our aprtment complex knocked down about 5 bee hives from my upstairs nieghbors patio. All our chidlren were playing outside, and the bees swored out children. Several of them were stung several times, and many were allergic to bees and had to go to the hospital.

The thing is, the mangers never gave us any warning. They just start breaking the nests down by hitting them with brooms, and then spraying them down with bee killer. The bee killer did not work obviously because our children got stung.

My question is, shouldnt they have warned us regarding this. I mean this could have potentially killed one of the children who were allergic to bees. I would have thought a notice should have been sent out to this block of apartments.

What do you think?

Also, how likely is the owner of commerical property going to be willing to let one retailer share his space (possibly sublease) with another retailer for part of the year? I would like to open a retail store, but only want to have it open a few months out of the year and don't want to have to pay for a whole year's lease.

I have been renting my house for 8 months now, and Friday I recieved a letter saying that my lease expires on the 31st of this month!! Now I KNOW I signed a 1 year lease, that would make my expiration in December. But in the letter, it said that when/if i renew my lease my rent would by $425 for the first 6 months and $450 for the remaing 6 months. I am paying $350 right now for it!!
I haven't talked to my rental company, seeing how they gave the letter to me on Friday, but I have a feeling that they are trying to screw me cuz they know that I lost my copy of my lease!! I have looked everywhere for it but I think it got thrown out!
I question is, if they are trying to screw me and I don't have a copy of my lease, can i legally do something about it?? Since I know it would be my word against theirs??
Please help me!! I can't afford to move but I can't afford to pay $450!!
