I have heard that there are property's that you can buy that are bank repos. Can someone give me some real legitimate answers. I'm very serious about finding a fixer-upper. Who do I contact ? Is there only specific times that these property's are available?

Contact the central (downtown) branches of the big five chartered banks here in Regina. There are always repos out there; the trick is to find them. Banks will not give you "insider" information because of the fiduciary issues involved. (In brief, how would a banker explain to his boss that he'd sold you a repo property at a cut-rate price, but didn't give the same chance to other potential bidders?)

Banks, incidentally, work through realtors so the real estate guide in the Leader-Post each Friday is probably the best source.

County records are useless for this purpose, as are the various free sites.

By the time they are indexed in county records, every real estate agent, hard money lender, and bankruptcy attorney in creation has already swarmed them. After they say "no" 231 times to all of those people, why should they say "yes" to you on attempt #232? Many times, by the time the county gets the information available to the public, the sale has been final for a week.

You need cash, and you need to find a pay site that gets you the information fast if you want to work foreclosures
