The people I bought my condo from 2 years ago seemed to owe everyone and their brother money(which would explain them selling to me to move back to Venezuela). I get mail for them AND for whoever must have been before them as well, from every collection company in town plus phone calls looking for them as well. It's been over 2 years since any of them lived here and god knows where they went. Is there some way(short of wasting my time calling every one of these places) to update an address or name, or something? Sort of along the "do not call list registry" idea.

Someone stole my wifes debit card #'s and was in canada charging stuff up. the bank fraud department called because they were suspicious and shut the card off. the bank is giving the money back $638.00 but i was wondering does the bank loose that money or the stores were the stuff was bought have to pay the money back i think the stores should loose the money because the stores obviously didnt ask for id because it wasnt the correct person using the #'s the stores were abercrombie & fitch, towns shoes, and Mcdonalds i think they should have asked for id because the person didnt have the card just the #'s and that should have been a big red flag

If i will use Ukash to make some online payments, let say less than the value of the voucher, how can i know how much i have left in the voucher, and how can i use the rest of the credit if there is very small amount of credit left (e.i. 0.4 £), there is nothing can to buy with 0.4 £, is that mean i should lose the voucher each time this happens.

When you activate the card the sticker says to also sign the back of the card. I never sign my cards, and the cashier people never mind. What is the purpose of signing the back anyways?

I got a copy of my credit report and sent letters to the various collection agencies asking for them to verify my debt. Three of the letters came back as undeliverable.

I would like to start repairing my credit but since the addresses are no longer valid, what should I do next? I don't want to send money to agencies that no longer exist/own my debt.

I jacked up my credit at a young age with the ever-popular car loan. The vehicle was repossesed and sold at auction and I was sued by a local collection agency to collect the difference. The amount at that time was $6200~ it is now $7585.10. I just made arrangements yesterday to repay this amount with the collection agency because the bank that I got the loan from said I had to deal with the collection agency. My credit report shows an entry from the bank with a charge-off, then an entry from the collection agency for the amount. The lady at the agency said that once I pay the amount in full I will get a letter from the court advising of satisfactory payment and both records on my credit report will change to paid in full. Is this correct? and how will this affect my credit score? I have 2 other collection items still on my report marked as paid (I paid them last year) from medical bills. I've tried disputing them to try & get them completely removed since they're paid but they remain.

I have been notified of an arbitration by a credit card company of which I did not realize was possible. However, it seems that the credit card companies can take away my right to court justice! Alarming it is. Anyhow, is this valid or what is the latest related to this, in Florida cases. I would like to fight this to the supreme court. When the CEO of a credit card company can make 250 M bonus per year and get away with this ~ something has to be done.

I just tried to buy an airline ticket on Priceline. All went very well, but then, at the very end, it said to wait 15 minutes, and I'd get an email notifying me of the trip details.

15 minutes later, an email came back telling me the price could not be agreed upon.

I then went to the actual Airline site to buy the same flight's ticket (flying Monday!) and was successful.

But now I just learned that my card was hit twice for the same flight...once by Priceline (who sold me no ticket!) and once by the airline.

How long does it usually take to get my money refunded from Priceline?

Thanks!

I have a total of 12 accounts on my credit reports.

1- GMAC Auto loan--originally 19,875 balance 3,245( Im goning to pay it off early in Feb.08')
1-HSBC Tax loan--- 800.00 paid in full
1-HSBC Credit Card--Limit 300 balance 295
1-Capitol One Credit Card--Limit 500 balance 150

All the accounts above are always paid on time and I have never once been late on a payment.

Now for the bad...
4 credit cards that were charged off
4 collection accounts from the 4 C.C's

Those 8 negatives will be over 7 years old in March 08'.

My question is when those 8 negatives drop off my report how will it affect my scores? Will they raise because I wont have any more negatives or will the scores drop because Im losing all that history?

My scores now are... 556 513 570... which are terrible. What could I do to raise them?

All help is appreciated!

My credit has always been excellent until I allowed my child to mortgage my home that I have lived in for 40 years so that she could pay off her bills. She agreed to make the payments on time, but failed to do that and also missed several payments without my knowledge and I just about lost my home. I need to know how to get this off my credit report now that I am making the payments on time and will never miss any payments.

I have several items schedualed to come off in te next two months because of the seven year limit... Some people have told me that the collection agencies can just resubmit these debts as new and get them put back on, or get the date moved back... Is that true? What can I do about it?

My credit card company told me that if I make any payments over $500, that they are required by law to hold it for 10 days before crediting my account. Also, they told me that the same holding period is required if I make more than one payment in any billing cycle. I have Googled my fingers off, and can not find any references to any such law. Does it exist? Or is my CC company just feeding me a line.

I have a Discover card that I got in 2000 with a current limit of $3,600 and a $0 balance that I no longer use. Within the last year, I have gotten a VISA Platinum and a MasterCard with limits totalling $21,000 and balances totalling $2,100. My credit scores are great. I want to get rid of the Discover. Now this Discover card is not the oldest item on my credit report. I have a student loan that is about 6 months older. I have been told and also read that you don't want to get rid of your oldest credit source. Will cancelling this card affect my scores even though I have the student loan on my report?

Who in the world really actually pays for balances due on repo's.
Can they actually take you to court and demand that you pay 15g's even though they could have gotten that for the car when they sold it? Just a Q.
