There are two scoring systems.

F.I.C.O. runs from 300 to 850.

Vantage runs from 501 to 990.

Anything that scores below these minimums defaults to a 0.

Most all major lenders look at your F.I.C.O. score so a 600 would be well below the average of 692 and would fall into the sub-prime category.

FICO didn't change. Two of the credit bureaus use their own scoring system with a range up to 950. Equifax is the only one that uses FICO. Creditors use FICO.

You can check your score at MyFico.com. There is a charge.
