I just tried to buy an airline ticket on Priceline. All went very well, but then, at the very end, it said to wait 15 minutes, and I'd get an email notifying me of the trip details.

15 minutes later, an email came back telling me the price could not be agreed upon.

I then went to the actual Airline site to buy the same flight's ticket (flying Monday!) and was successful.

But now I just learned that my card was hit twice for the same flight...once by Priceline (who sold me no ticket!) and once by the airline.

How long does it usually take to get my money refunded from Priceline?

Thanks!

When you "name your own price" and or sign up with an account with priceline, priceline will make a transaction to verify your credit account. This might be in the amount of $1.00 that may be refunded within days.

However, if you "named your own price" and it was a successful bid, your credit card would have been charged in the amount of the purchased plus any additional priceline fees. Priceline has some strict rules about refunds. If you believed your bid was denied, but still charged, you should call them immidiately. They will be the ones who can tell you if your getting your money back.

Next time, make sure you leave enough time for your bid to go thru or be denied. Notices can take anywhere from a few seconds to over 20 minutes.

Good Luck!

Don't wait for a refund. Send a dispute to your credit card. Send a letter detailing what happened and that Priceline charged you in error.

You may have a fight on your hands. Did you save that email? It could be very important in getting your credit.

For some extra desirable data: this is been my journey with a credit card provider that in the event that they close an account, they gained't approve yet another - ever. because of this occasion, i might propose being careful the way you pay off the different credit card. The credit union could close the credit card card whilst this is paid off in complete. formerly you pay off that card and in case you desire the obtainable credit for emergencies or in spite of, you are able to desire to open yet another card purely in case.
