I assume you are in England?
I don't know how their system works, but here in the US they can NOT arbitrarily tack on collection fees. In most contracts you will see that they add court costs and legal fees....but not many include collection fees. And in many places it is illegal for them to do so....collection fees is part of doing business. You can dispute them and have them taken off by the courts.
Can't help you with other countries laws.....but I certainly would challenge it!

You will be sent a letter telling you that your account will be sent to a collection agency they will send you a letter (first contact) outlining who they are and who they represent in the letter. They will outline if you do not contact them with xx days they will start recovery and costs will be added. They have given you all the information they need for you to contact them inc contact details. A copy of T&Cs and charges are always avaliable if you do not ask you cannot use it as ignorance as British law unfortunatley not not allow for ignorance contact them at first contact its a lot cheaper.
Ignore them and they do an home visit you can be charged anything from £40 per quarter hour. They are regulated by the CCA

There are default charges but these are usually placed by the company for the fee of a debt collector
some debt collector like to add on a bit more if they can get away with it
if the charge is not on your invoice then you should check with the company

What we are searching at is three hundred-four hundred billion. it really is a few days of george bush's warfare. besides, how that is going to be paid for is by technique of less costly expenses in expenses from the pharmo agencies, the coverage agencies and the healthcare compaines and from repealing the bush tax cuts that spiraled our monetary gadget into free fall consisting of his a million.5 trillion monetary employer bailout human beings have forgotten all about that bush enacted into regulation and something will be paid by technique of elevating taxes somewhat on human beings making over three hundred,000 in conserving with 365 days. So, it really is the info of it. you may spout off the different concepts, yet you requested for an answer., it really is the answer. we ought to continually were questioning about this at the same time as very last 365 days bush exceeded an incredible enlargement of medicaire that value overr one hundred billion and no individual cried then and that become no longer even paid for it easily value us three hundred billion because he diminished taxes besides. Now, shall we no longer even get into the costs of the failed warfare and unlawful warfare in iraq or the ignoring of Katrina or the ignoring of 911 or the ignoring of out of line protection pressure previous-shaped guns spending and the trillion dollar giveaway to africa. No republican has a be conscious to assert to me. The bill will pass via, i imagine that is humorous how those human beings are performing now about their civil liberties after vote casting for a guy two times that took the biggest grab of governmental skill ever contained in the Patriot act and used the phobia of his incompetence contained in the 911 tradgedy to get it funded and enacted. So, what now. awww, silence....it really is a robust element. top, agreed?
