i have bad credit- a defaulted car loan from 6 years ago-they repo the car, but since last month i was paying on it for 2 years, and a couple of other items that i am paying for that are in collections

i want to try to get a loan, so i can just pay these off, and by having that loan, use it to establish good credit by paying it on time, withno late payments

does anyone know of loans i can try to get?

I ordered a camera from Tiger Direct and canceled it the next day. Three weeks later they sent me an email saying they shipped it to me anyway. They charged my credit card for it and I still have not received the package. They insist that it's coming but I don't think they sent it at all. How do I file a complaint against them?

I filed for chpt.13 in Nov 2006. I am paying a 1500.00 mortgage, and a 1400.00 payment on the Chpt. 13 repayment plan. I have had tremendous trouble keeping up with the trustee payments. My Bankruptcy lawyer contacted me and said the trustee is going to close my case on monday unless I pay a back fee of 4500.00. Needless to say I dont have the money. I have a house on the market and a closing date of Sept 14th. The lawyer suggested that I let the trustee close the case and go to settlement on the set date to save me some money. My question is I have a vehicle and back taxes in the Chpt.13 plan. How does that factor in after the sale of the house? The lawyer suggests getting a tax attorney for the back taxes I owe. So what about the car? Also, since the trustee is going to drop the plan on Monday, what does this mean in terms of my credit and how it is reflected on my credit report. Is it still reflected as an open bankruptsy? Also, what about the money i paid into the plan? Help!

Our mortgage lender has filed for bankruptcy. Our payments to the mortgage company include principle, interest, taxes and insurance (PITI). What happens to the money we have paid towards taxes and insurance ?? Since we have paid this money in advance with our payment, is the bankrupt mortgage lender required by law to pay them? If they don't, due to bankruptcy protection, are we responsible to pay the money that has already been received by the mortgage lender?? In other words, lets say we have made payments totaling $10,000 over the last 10 months, $2500 of which is taxes and insurance. If the mortgage lender does not pay the $2500 to the insurance company and to the IRS, do we have to come up with the $2500 to pay what the mortgage lender did not ??

my boyfriend got his 3 credit report( the one from all 3) well for the past month somone(collection company) keeps calling saying he owes on an electric bill from 1999, but he has never had a electric bill in his name, he was only 19 at the time, and the address they tell him where the bill (electric) is from a house that has never existed-we check it out, and he has a friend in the law enforcement, and they said their is no such address, or their has never been such , and its not even on his credit report, but they tell him his SSN, and birthday, and its right, and they keep calling,

how can they do this? and what can we do about it being false-counting it hasn't even been on his credit

offer a settlement?? I heard that if you contact a company regarding settlement, they have 30 days to respond and if they dont, then it has to be removed from your credit? Is that true?? How long after you make a settlement and pay it off does it show upon your credit report

This summer has been hard for us financially. We are having a hard time with 2 creditors who call us at least 2 or 3 times a day! They don’t want to wait until pay day. Is it possible to file a claim against them for harassment?
Even my children are becoming worried!
If so, how could I word the charges?

I took out a couple of payday loans recently tro fix my car. Only after doing so did I find out what a racket this is. I'm now caught in the cycle of not being able to pay off the loans because of the horrendous fees. I can barely feed myself now. What to do? If I close that checking account, what happens then? I'll still pay the loans, of course, but maybe I could negotiate then. Any ideas would help!

OK, I was wondering...if you have a bank account (checking) that is over drawn for a few weeks to a month and you cannot pay to get it back to positive...plan on lettin it close down and going on to the collections.....if you write a check, is that a bad check? Or is it only if the account is closed or stolen checks or what not. It is a open bank account but again, in the negative and has been for a little bit. They will close the account after 60 days and send it to collections where she plans on paying in payments since she has no money to pay for it now. But she "HAD" (lol) to write a check and I say thats a bad check, but she says its not...only if the account is closed or checks are stolen. Whos right? Please help...she may have a point but not sure. And apparently the bank told her that anything that goes through is just another overdraft charge to her account that it didnt really matter. If it is a bad check, then what will happen to her from here? Thanks for any answers!!
