I understand that credit card companies don't usually report late payments unless they are 30 or 60 days overdue, is this true?

Solicitations for everykind of insurance continue to arrive in my mailbox. Some are so personally addressed that I must consider that my identity has been stolen/abused to some degree. How can I erase inacurate state held misinformation for I feel that this is the source of blatant exploitation exorcised by unscroupulus individuals?

My wife is an additional cardholder on many of my credit cards. It appears the balances on these accounts are negatively affecting her credit score. If I remove her name from these accounts, will her credit score improve?

me and my boyfriend are thinking about getting married but my past credit history is making him nervous. we really want to get married but he has almost perfect credit and i have really really bad credit and a lot of debt from mistakes when i was younger. if we have a prenup saying that he is not liable for any of my debt will taht work to protect him? and will my credit effect his once we get married or is there a way to keep it seperate? does this only work in certain states/cases? i really want to marry him and i know its going to take me a while to pay off my debts, and i definatly dont want it to effect him since its not his responsibility. thanks!!!!!!

Some folks can't get credit; some can't get jobs because of this system. If it was fair maybe the playing field between the haves and the have not’s would be more level. What do you think ? Do we have to have this system in place as it is or should it be tweaked to make up for the computer and paper mistakes, Stolen identities and the other big problems effecting the peoples right to get a loan? People don't have AAA credit anymore, not the low income ones; they may have 600 points tops if they've never been divorced or truly sick.

Our family has run into some problems and I am thinking that I can get a loan to help put. The problem is that everything is in others names so I don't have the collateral to be able to help. Any info would be nice.

credit cards, america. as we all know it debt forces us to dig our own grave so that out children inherit out debt after we're dead.
the best advice (this is two-faced) i could give is too never get one in the first place. naturally temtation forces us too get one and you get cog-blocked into getting one when something you want or need requires one. naturally with the swipe of the card you balance can be paid off and the debt is on the card to be paid later. now since i'm a low rolller (petty cash) hustler i know what i'm getting myself into before i do it. america if your smart and you get a 10,000 credit limit i recommend you not take it but if your a risk taker use that 10,000 before the due date (this means you have to work/ hustle everyday) to pay the money back and keep all that you made for yourself. debt collectors call at all hours of the night to threatin you with death if you don't give them their money yet you still get more credit card applications. pay bills and retire

I'm a new resident building up my cradit from zero. I applied for a 500$ secured card from Bank of America, now after doing some research, I think it should've been 1000$. Can I add to the existing card or set up a new one with the same bank? Or is it better to do it online from a different company? I'm not planning to take a loan or store cards.

I am tired of credit card companies giving elderly credit when they are living on a fixed-income. They get further in debt and get buried in these bills. It is nothing but a vicious cycle that needs to be stopped. These companies are out to make money and don't care what happens to YOU! Please help!! I would like to find a group who would help fight this matter.

Can those bills then be put on your credit record from the deceased family member? Can the family lose what they have due to what the relative left behind? What if they don't have the money to pay it back? I know if it's your husband or wife then your automatically responsible, but if it's one of your parents what happens?

Help! I was contacted by a bill collector who stated that I owed about 1600 dollars to a credit card company. The bill collector kept saying "so are you going to pay it???" I said "I guess". I didn't realize until afterwards that she was trying to trap me. I checked my credit report and called the credit card company and it turns out the card doesn't even exist!!! I have asked the credit card company to send me a letter stating this. When I notified the bill collector they stated that it doesn't matter. Because i told them that I would pay, I legally have to and they will sue me if I don't! I asked them to send validation of the account and they refused. I also asked them to send me information on how to handle this and they refused. What do I do??? Will they really sue me?
