I have several credit cards is any they keep raising my limits w/o my knowledge. I'm afraid now that I have too much credit in my name. Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps ask the company to lower my limit without this effecting my credit negatively. I just don't want the option to ever have that much debt for whatever reason.

Could some tell me of a good DM place to use, the net is full of sites and it's overwhelming.

An honest one that has no horror stories attached to it.

My CC bills are always paid on time but the rising interest payments are hurting me to the point in a few months they will be very hurtful.

And yes there was a medical issue with my wife that started this neverending cycle of revolving debt.

There has to be a few recommended places and places that people have used with success.

I have a card that I got a pamphet in the mail that is raising my % to 32.99 because I am using over half the balance, never have been late and never overdrawn. I talked to the company and the women said it's like that because they can.

Yes I know the DM will sting my CR, but.........what'll hurt it worse?

Thanks.

Not everyone in big CC debt are bad people, just sometimes unlucky.

I was thinking on calling a company that I saw on TV that helps you with that problem. They pay off all your credit cards and you pay the a low monthly payment. Is that a good thing to do? Has anybody out there done it? And about how much do they charge. I owe about 6 thousand dollars on three credidit cards all together. Please help Thanksssssssss.

I was trying to buy something off the net and in the card option it only had Master card. I don't have a master card. Is a Visa debit just the same or does it have to be a master card?

Does it show up on your credit report? Make your credit score go down? What about maxing out your credit cards you do have?

I discovered inaccuracies in my credit report (medical collections). When I wrote to dispute them, I asked for specific information including the name of the original creditor, the specific service that was provided, an itemization of the charges, the date of service, any amount of the original balance that was paid by insurance, and copies of any document bearing my signature agreeing to pay for the charges.
When they responded all they sent me was a list of account numbers and account balances. Do I have a right to the requested information, and if not provided, do they not have to remove the items from my report? I do not feel as if they have provided sufficient evidence of the debt.
I would appreciate any guidance I could get. Thanks

I received the letter with the information that I have been accepted for credit card service. What do I have to do is; fill the form which was enclosured and send it back (freepost). But there is also Application set-up fee £44.99. Everything seems to be ok but in the past I paid fees to some financial companies and I lost the money. I need advice in this case.

I had bought a '06 Nissan Altima special addition. The loan was for 26,000 6 years at 20%. I had ok credit and I had co-signed for someone with bad credit (don't lecture me i know it was stupid). The payment is 625/mo. I want to take the car now and refianace it with only me on the loan. Now my credit has im proved a lot BUT of course we're uspise down. the car is worth 19 thou butthe loan is 25. Now even with my good crdit and if I were able to get a co-signer with flawless credit. Would it be possible to get the car refiananced without bringing down the balance?

When paying of credit cards, is it better to make smaller payments more frequently (say weekly) or to make one large payment monthly?
Will the smaller more frequent payments really reduce the amount of interest I pay?

Thanks

I wish someone would have told me when I was younger all the things that would affect my credit score, and how important that is!!! So here's my story...I moved out of an apartment before my lease expired, and I was charged aproximately $5k, which was rent for the remainder of my lease. I didn't pay it, so it went to collections and was reported to all 3 bureau's. In addition to that, I had about $2k more debt (medical) that also went to collections. I recently took out an auto loan (against a truck I already own) to pay off this debt, plus some other expenses that came up without warning. So, how long will it take for my credit score to improve now that my debts are settled? I have 3 credit cards that are paid on time (in full) every month, and my auto loan will be paid on time every month. The only other credit history I have is an auto loan that is paid in full (all payments were made on time). Currently my credit score is 545, I would like to see it in the 600's ASAP!

I found that Experian shows a small balance for a collections account from years ago. I have no problem paying it now but the credit report shows the past due account will be on record until December 2007.

But I'm afraid of paying it off because it might be updated by the collections agency and then be on my report an additonal seven years from today.

Does anyone know if this can happen? Am I better off not paying to avoid more years of bad credit?

Thanks!
