My wife is an additional cardholder on many of my credit cards. It appears the balances on these accounts are negatively affecting her credit score. If I remove her name from these accounts, will her credit score improve?

Yes it does... and the account holders as well...

yes, being added as a cardholder is the same as having the account. you adopt that persons credit score until they have something in their name then they will stand on their own credit score.

No, but it sure can affect the credit of the primary card holder; use it with discretion.

Yes.

It improves your score with good payments.

It ruins your score with non-payments.
