I have a couple bad things on my credit report that are dragging me down from yrs ago . Im trying to find out if the credit card company will keep reporting negative info every month for 7 yrs from the 1st time I missed a payment and it went into default OR when I opened the acct. Also once the 7 yrs are up will it fall off like it never happened? If you pay it off does it dramatically boost your score or still show negative but paid? One of the companies has been reporting negative for 6 yrs now and im wondering if it will fall off in one year or if I should pay it.

Although I do have some late fees, my credit card company continues to call more than 5 or 6 times in a day. This is ridiculous. Is there any way that I can have them stop this practice that will stand up legally?

There is something called a "non-recourse" loan which means the lender cannot come after you for more money if the business goes under. But every loan I've heard about requires a personal guarantee. Is "non-recourse" a myth, or just a relic from decades past?

Hi
I went to hyundai car dealership to buy a new car and they pulled my credit score to check out how much APR can be given to me.
and he told that any other dealership(Any Brand - Toyota/GM) can also pull the same and my score wont go down for the next 14 days .

Is that true or will my score come down for every pull made by the dealership?

*** I understand that if i pull my score 10 time..it wont bring it down.

i'm an 18 year old college student wanting to start to build credit.

i have an account opened up with washington mutual. im using their debit card.

I'm guessing how it works to build credit is I apply for a credit card, use it, pay monthly on time and thats it?

im new to this credit building world.

also, my friend is trying to do the same thing and says many cards (especially since we're college students) offer many promotions. so what should i look into? i heard long time low interest rates and...? maybe miles? etc?
