we emigrated to canada in january 2006, we tried to apply for credit for a car, and were refused due to "thousands of dollars worth of debt", we got reports which say our names are clear, but when we contacted equifax online, there is debt since 2000 - 2005, its not our debt, how do we clear our name and how long will it take.

I'm planning to get a personal loan for about 15K over 4-5 years, which Canadian bank or institution I would have the most chance of being approved. My credit score with Equifax is around 640.

I'm thinking of switching my Amex Clear to another credit card. I like Amex and their customer service is awesome but less and less businesses out there using Amex service anymore due to their high service charge. So it's very inconvenience for me. I thought of getting Capital One credit cards but very alarmed on how many people got trouble because of it. All the research that I did make me even confuse so I'm just going to ask a real people who have a real experiences with their credit cards, Who have the best credit card offer out there...and if the company also have a great customer service (meaning any issues or concerns are satisfactorily resolved in timely manner) I have an excellent credit score thus I don't want any credit card company that will mess around with it either... Thank you for your help

I wanted to take money off my credit card, but somehow as a purchase (not as a cash advance). I was thinking about using Paypal to send money to myself, but they charge 2.9% for incoming payments. Another idea was to purchase a money order (which I can deposit at my bank) at a store and pay by credit, but most stores only accept cash or debit for this. Any ideas?

hey all,
We are trying to repair our credit for many years now. from our experience we have been sent letters back from credit companies telling us that our credit on there is valid and that they will not be changing it. My understanding is that they have to provide proof of this and yet that havnt. What is the best way of action to get these 3 companies to start removing items and what is the best site out there that provides me with all three credit reports all in one for free? Also please provide me with a couple of sites that explain in detail in help regarding steps to do and sample letters that are current that i may use to get my point across.
thank you kindly

Are there anyone who has the debit card and can tell me about your experiences using the card? It would be preferable if you are from one the Southeast Asian countries.

Why do they want to pay the bank thousands of dollars in interest? I just don't get it. Why not save up the cash and buy whatever it is? By the time you get your house or car paid off you may have paid twice the original price because of interest.
