You will need three things to start ... the first is a legitimate business. This is acquired from your county and is in the form of business license, Tax ID, etc. The second thing is a solid business plan that shows your business history, projected sales and profits, goals, assets and liabilities, etc. Your local library has several books on writing a business plan. Once you have that, you will be in better shape to find and secure whatever licenses you need for your type of business. The third requirement is determination. If you can show what you can do on paper, you can do it!!!

Another source is SCORE; Senior Corpse of Retired Executives; these folks not only provide information but can help you set up a business if you ask.
