Is sending you back and forth and neither will give you a straight answer. This is about an erroneaus item on my credit report, that the beaureus refuse to take off. I am so upset over this. These people have been messing up my credit since 2002. I'm begining to think I should just pay for it, even if the charge is not mine just to get over it.

I am planning to relocating to the USA but am not sure if I am going to be able to make the payments,if i was to not pay my UK debts how likely is it that the UK creditors will find me in the USA and if they did what kind of trouble would i be in? Also will my UK debts affect my credit in the USA?

You know by paying everything in collection and making sure my payments are on time. I ask because I've heard several people say the smart thing to do is to max out my credit and then just file for bankruptcy and after the term my credit will be right back up. I have heard people say that very frequently. So, really what is the smart thing to do.

Can someone tell me how do the credit companies know what your credit limits are on your Capital One account because they sure don't let anyone but the person who has the card know the limits.

From what I see then they don't know how close you are to your limits and can't see if it is good or bad. So can't even give you a Percent of credit currently available

I had a judgement filed against me for a car loan. (fairlane Credit) I still have the car. The Judgement is for $11994.94 the amount of what I financed the car for. I had been paying and ran into rough times. The court never notified me of my court date nor did the attorney. What can I do? Can I sue the attorney for not contacting me? I don't think that was a fair deal to just enter this judgement against me without contacting me. I don't have alot of money but I wanted to pay a huge amount to get them off my back. I have two kids and need my driving rights, and if they garnish my wages I will suffer some serious HARDSHIP. How will this affect my credit am I screwed? what can I do to fix it? Help!!

I recived a call from a bill collector "very nasty" claiming he works at a law office and here to collect a debt for a Discover card. I told him i dont know anything about this, he replied well you should sir. then he said you need to pay me 3k now or else we will sue you and put a lein on your house/garnish your and her wage. I told him i need more details i dont understand he told me it was 4 years ago. I then told him where to go on how he was behaving and hung up the phone. He then back and i let the answering machine get it and he left a message saying i am right now filing a lawsuit and you will get served with the papers--see you in court and good luck. We got a credit report and it dose show 1700 has been charged off by discover in december and thats all it says . We only been married for 2 years and owned the house for 1 year. i dont want to deal with this person. anyone has delt with happy people like this

If you were asked to upgrade from gold to platinum why or why wouldnt you? The annual fee for the platinum card is 400 and the gold is only 90... Anyone out there with the platinum card please tell me the perks of having one? Or is it just something to brag about socailly? I am quite content with my Gold card but if the perks are that much better I may consider? I am not interested in just bragging about the card... and would like more info... to make a better decision. Thanks guys and gals

I can't get a loan without a co-signer and unfortunately I don't have access to one for miles. I'm trying to get back into a SUNY school who screwed me over on a medical leave so now I owe over 6 grand of unpaid balances to the NYS attorney general where the school sent the bill to be collected legally. I've tried everything from a salliemae loan to an alternative loan from my local bank, everything requires a co-signer which I do not have. I'm currently looking up debt consolidation web links for help ASAP. Any other help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks for reading all of this, I really want to go back to school and it's very frustrationg dealing with so many financial difficulties.

when i get a credit card statement for the month, if i make a full payment every time, would it be helpful in increasing my credit score? or is it better to leave some amount?

also, what if i stop using the credit card so i don't owe them anything? is that helpful for increasing credit scores?

finally, is it easier to increase the credit score if the credit line is higher? by the way, i got my first credit card and the credit line is 200 dollars.
