2 years ago i did't have any credit at all, so I asked my mom could I apply for a card in her name then add me as an authorized user to help me build credit. She agreed as long as I was responsible for paying the bill on my own.

I did very well for 2 years straight, I even help her out on her credit good until, she started having gambling problems. Not 1 but all of her credit cards are in collections or 120+ days late except the one I have. She ask me today to give her the card so she could go to the casino, I said no because I know her when it comes to gambling. Then she said well I will get it cut off, I said fine because I wasn't gonna let her ruin my credit as well but first let me take my name off of it.

I have helped her pay her truck notes lately, and help pay on other credit cards. I wanted to know if it was any kind of way that I could get the account transferred to my name only because i really do need the history of that account, and without it my scores would drop alot?

Ok so I've read many comments saying not to use these services
because they mess up your credit (mine is already a mess!!) , then some people say they have helped them to regain control of their credit. I am unsure of what to do--whats the verdict on this--I would like to hear from some people that have used the services of CCCS or some other agency, also would like to hear from people who have fixed their credit on their own. Please help--I need to get my credit in order.

I 'm asking cuz a friend (over 18) has a joint credit card with her mom (cuz after she got laid off, she needed to rebuild her credit history). Anyway, she never used the card, except this once &she only did it cuz she didn’t have the cash on her at the time. But before she could mail in the payment, her parents saw the transaction history online & confronted her, threatening to send her to jail for using “their” card. So in the heat of the moment, she got scared & lied & said she never used it, that she didn’t even have the card anymore. She's sent in the full payment, but she can’t tell that to her parents (since she denied using the card)
The facts are this:
1.) The credit card was/is a joint account, with 2 cards. 1 card is in the name of my friend, the other card is in the name of her mom
2.) She’s made full payment for the item purchased

Now, if the parents report the card as stolen/misused, can my friend be arrested and/or prosecuted for credit card fraud or theft??

The last activity from my credit report shows 1999, but in 2004 they started listing it as past due. I have not received a bill from them since 1999 (when I thought I paid it off). I called them and was told that they had a different address than my current one where I have been for over 5 years. My current address is on my credit report and can be found when I google my name. I will pay it, but want to know why they never sent my a bill and why did they reopen it after 5 years. I is adverely afting my credit and want to know if it is legal for a company to do this

I usually answer these questions, but now I'm puzzled. I just purchased my score from Equifax and Experian through the MyFICO.com site. Equifax came back as 813 listing a handful of positive factors and stating that because it's so high there are no negative factors. Experian gave me 819, no positive factors, and two negative factors (recent credit and a high balance) that seem to indicate that if they had used the same method to arrive at the score as Equifax, it would be even higher.

I thought everyone used the same factors, just gave them slightly different point values. Why would one say everything is way cool, and the other slap my hand for buying a new car and getting a Kohl's charge? (They have really great sales for cardholders! I had to. :)

I found a huge credit card directory... Does the credit card you apply for make a difference on your credit report?

If I apply for a poor credit credit card - http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php - Would this effect my credit report?

If I apply for a really great credit card like American Express Blue: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php?review=23 - Would this look good on my credit report if I am approved? And would this look really bad on my report if I am denied compared to a poor credit credit card?

I have been reviewing all the credit cards: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php & found http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php?review=23 to have an overall rating and benefit rating as the highest so far... I am scared to apply if I get turned down and it shows on my credit report as being turned down by a GOOD credit card...

If all the credit cards were taking away in this world and we were only to live off of cash.

Reasoning for my question: the average American lives in debt of $20,000 in credit cards alone...
