Why are people so mean when you ask a question about things they have made mistakes with. I don't think people need to get ragged on when they are going through a crisis. They are asking for advice not for someone to tell them how bad they are or how bad they handled there finances. THEY ALREADY KNOW THAT I GUARANTEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I file bankruptcy and it went through in January. I kept my car and I was told while the bankruptcy was going through I could turn it in without penalty if I wanted. Can I still turn it in now that my ruptcy has been processed without it going on my credit as something bad? Will they just take it back and be done with it?

Can a credit card company place a lien on a property which is homesteaded in Florida? I was contacted by a "lawyer" for the bank, and he told me they could place a lien on my house. Is this true?

Can anyone help us. We need to borrow $4500.00 asap. A family member has stolen much more from us but we need to go to court to recover it. In the mean time our bills are now behind. Can anyone please send us in the right direction. We would take a loan shark and accept the fees. We just don't want our credit to get bad. Please help us if you can. Thank you. while we were seperated the credit card company sent checks in the mail that would apply to the credit card, well, not knowing the account was already closed i spent about $1000.00. if the account was already closed and we never asked them to send the checks, and im not actually authorized to use those checks, can these charges be disputed by my husband not to pay them because he didnt actually use them, i did, not knowing i wasnt authorized to use them? its a capital one in ga.

I have two credit Cards. I ask solo questions yesterday on the two companies, I have a Capital One Platinum Card, and 1st Finical Bank Master Card. and I'm think on whether to get rid of one.

My Capital one is Platinum, which offers added protection, but the interest in 20.30, which is pretty high. They also gave me a $2000 credit limit.

My 1st Financial Bank card has a interest of 16.50% and 0% on purchase under $250 dollars. But the credit limit I have with them in only $1000.

If you have any idea on which to keep let me know. If you have any experience with either company can you please give me your opinion on them and any other information yo think would be useful

I don't use them to extreme ( but I have in the past)--just can't give them up entirely (fear of emergency). And then they creep up. I only have two major credit cards and my plan is always to pay them off entirely each mo., but I never do. This makes me feel weak and stupid.
Do you have any advice or a story?

My sister was contacted by a collection agency. They demaned payment of $200.00 immeditaly. She said she didn't have the money, nor a credit card, nor a checking account. The representive of thre collection agency said that they will then garnish her wages. She found out that the agency took out $100.00 from her check and will take out another hundred next check. Now ,when she had her wages garnished before, the collection agency set up a meeting at the courthouse and they came to an agreement on how much was going to be garnished from her check and the amout was for $2,000.00 not just $200.00. Is what the collection agency did leagle? If not what action can she take against the company. The bill was for a vist to the emergency room, and it was only 5 months old.
