it sure as hell will, when I changed from verizon to nextel, they sent me a bill for 67 dollars with no detail on what it was for, I wrestled over that bill for 6 months , finally I thought to protect my credit , I would pay it, I did and them pieces of shyt left it on my credit report as never paid. I asked them to take it off and they said they would but never did. That''s verizon for you, a bunch of crooks, nextel treated me better when I left them to go to t -mobile. they forfeited the 99cents I owed them on the last bill, I tried to pay online as I usually did and it wouldn't let me log onto my account bedcause it was closed, then I called them , they said fuggetabouit. but verizon refused to give me a detailed statement, yes refused, but still turned it into the credit agencies.

If you owe any institution anything they can put it on your credit report. Your monthly bill is not reported to the bureaus. But if they give up trying to get the money, they will just put the mark on your credit. You can't just not pay and have that be that. Take them to small claims court, dispute with customer service, file a complaint with the SEC - what ever. Also, if it a big amount you owe - at least send in a fraction of the payment. At least this way it will be shown that you are attepting to make good on this.
Even a library can put a charge off on your credit if you don't return a book! That happens to people - they often have to pay thousands more in interest all because of book they may have never even finished!
So don't just let it go - make good on it and get it straightened out.

I'm sorry to say but yes it will go on your credit report. The thing is, when ever you have a bill and they have your social they can report it. The thing with cell phone companies is that they usually don't report on time payment but when you don't pay they put it on there. So the thing I would do is pay the bill and get out of the contract. Because it goes on your credit report quick but they take thier time taking it off.

Unfortunately your signed a contract when you signed up for the service, and the only option you have when unhappy with the goods and services is to change providers and tell everyone you not to use that company. If you fail to pay them it will negatively affect your credit.

they can! pay it before it goes on your credit report and shows as a collection. i would not advise paying it after it goes on your credit report because paying it will not remove it from your report it will still show as a collection just a paid collection.

Absolutely they can. A bad debt is a bad debt. Not paying is not a smart way to protest. You should be calling customer service for every incident and have your bill adjusted as you go.
