I am in NC,and without my knowing,a collector by the name of Unifund CCR Partners, obtained a judgement against me,for $3600.00.I dont know what this is about,I travel alot, and this was done while I was away.Today I was served with papers to fill out,and they are called "Notice of Right To Have Exemptions Designated".What is the best way to fill these papers out?To protect what I have, and this is not a way to get out of paying,as I really do not know what this is about.I have a mortgage, and own 2 autos.I am sure I will have to list these. The judgement is in my name, and not my spouses. The property we have is joint.Any experts on here? Please help,as this has been a very stressful day.Thank you!

I just pulled my credit report and my husband's credit card is listed there. He put my name on his account and gave me a card. Is it right for them to list this on my report if it's not my card? It's only listed on one report.

I am 25yo student, currently no job and living with my parents. I have accumulated a lot of debt and obviously have one creditor calling my cell, my parents home, their cell phones, and their jobs. This big company calls at least 3-10 a day. Tell me I can go to jail, get sued, and when I try to ask about options they just tell me "They have to talk to my parents because even if I got a job there is no way I'd be able to pay it off." I owe them about $21,000 and there is no way my parents would pay them off considering that they tied up all of their money in a new business. They keep telling me that it is fraud because they say I have no intention of paying it, even though I told them that I did. One of their people even told my mom that I owed over $10,000 not telling her the exact amount. When I told one of their people about it they say there is no way that was said and all of their calls are monitored. There is no other way my mom would have found out. What can I do?

I have creditors calling to collect on debts that I have incurred about 3 - 5 years. The toal sum is about $3000. Two of the three are threating to take me to court or take legal action. I legitmately do not have the money. I have a house payment. I have two car payments since me and my wife both work. After those major bills and the gas/light etc.. I put about about 10% of my income for retirement. After that bills and food I have only about 150 left for distrcretion. I have explained this to the creditors and they all want at least 100 a month. When I tell I don't have the money. They reply with "so your refusing to pay?" comments. One even told me "stop lying I know you make enough."

I am sick of this. I have no problem paying, but if I don't have it I don't have it. I am thinking about taking off a long large enought to pay off my one car (about $5000, so about $9000 with all the bills) and outstanding debts.

Any advice or insight to how I solve this?

I did 3 BTs on 8/16/06. How long will it be before the other cc companies get it? How do they do it by electronic or by mail? I did them over the phone when I got approved for a card?

1 more question...... One of my BT was sent to a wrong address, for instance it was sent to a inquiries address instead of the payment address, will it come back?

I hear people even dispute accounts that they are still responsible for. Now even I know there is no "Free Lunch" in America, so to speak.
