I really like the career outlook of an Anesthesiologist, and am wondering do they work for a hospital or a private firm type thing. If anyone has some insight on this subject please let me know. Also if anyone has any idea on how easy it might be to get a job as an anesthesiologist, if firms or such are always recruting.

My girlfriend had applied online for macy's job and they emailed her telling her to come to an interview.however they didnt say she had to dress professionally.when she got there they didnt let her go to the interview because she had on jeans. The managers or anybody didnt see her,the security guard at the door told her about the dress code.
She is real mad now and I told her she might be able to re-apply online.
Can she reply online or will they disregard her as soon as they seen her application again? Is there any chance that she can get another interview if she re apply.
What should she do
if she does re apply how long should she wait or how many days to re apply?

Why do we have to give a job at least two weeks notice before we quit? But they don't have to give us two weeks notice before they fire us, so we can look for another job. That's so bass ackwards. Sooooo unfair. Ever wondered that?

She sent an email joke around. I replied back 'You're hideous!'.

I meant to say 'hilarious' but that damn spell-checker...

Anyway, she is hideous. That's the problem.

Of course I explained the situation to her and our boss (he chuckled).

Thanks

The receptionist called this morning to schedule a second interview on Monday at 9 am, it was the only avaiable time. After thinking about what I would say to my current employer, I decided to call the interviewer directly and ask if we could possibly meet at 8 am instead, if not that would be ok since I have vacation time left, but would prefer not to have to take time off work if possible. Otherwise I would see him at 9.

I then accidentally left my work # on his voice mail out of habit and I was very nervous. I didnt realize this until after I hung up. I called back and left him another voice mail saying I left you my home # but cell would be better the # is...

I was very nervous and felt like an idiot and was speaking kind of quick. Am I over analyzing this or did I hurt my chances of gettins this job? I am just not good on the phone...

If I ask the interviewer questions like how long they have been working for the company or do they like working here or even how they got to their position, would that be considered rude?

I want to be able to stand out from others at an interview.

Ive noticed that alot of jobs these days, particulary in the construction industry, prefer/need experienced people. when i finished my HSC i got a job in retail (working in a deli)and i have been there for 2 and a half years, but, this is where hindsight and procrastination kill me, i would like to work in the construction industry, in particular as a plant operator (excavators, graders and the like). what would be the best way for me to gain experience in this industry? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially from people who are/have worked in this industry.

I am thinking of getting each of them a small gift, just as a thank you.
I have known one of them for 6 years
I have known the other one for 1 month
and I have known all the others since I started working there for 1 year.

I was once told that Gift Cards are the way to go.

I was thinking of getting the person I've known for 6 years a Starbucks gift card, since she's always drinking Starbucks. How much should the gift card be?

And maybe I can get all the others Mall Dollars....how much should they be?
I know they will probably ask each other how much they got, but I don't know if I should give them all the same amount, especially the lady who i've known for 6 years. What should I do??

I think the interview went well, not the best i culd hae performed but pretty good. I sent a Thank you letter to her the following day and on the other day i did a follow up call and got her voicemail, i left a message just asking if she had made a decision and just to touch bases and thank her again for the interview. I have yet to hear back from her. Should i send a email? And if so what do you think i should say?
