I am frantically looking for a job , But i am getting dissapointed again and again . Today this lady told me ( with whom i was supposed to have an interview ) that i dn' thave enough sales experience..

Day before yesterday i had another interview, where the employer told me , that he will keep me in file . and to keep calling him and bothering him , if there is any opening.
and that he's just starting up ...

I dn't know. But every time someone tells me , something negative like this , i get very disappointed. I am feeling very down rt now . I dn't even feel like applying for another job . ( eventhough my car payment and insurance payments are past due , already ) .

. What should I do ?

..Ok so look. I am a college student in Las Vegas, NV. I have my own 2 bd 2 br apt, no job and I'm about to turn 21 in like a week. Oh and I got a bench warrant for some bs that happened bacc in Cali which got my license suspended, but that's kinda irrelevant.

I have plenty of ?'s but to keep this short, what kind of job can I get that will provide a solid and legitimate income? And not none of these lil punk-*** bottom-feeder jobs like McDonalds or ish like that. I can't live off of minimum wadge and these employment agencies out here are lame. Most of my work experience comes from clerical/ data entry or warehouse jobs but I can do pretty much anything cuz I have bomb work-ethics.

I need to find a job within the next 2 weeks that will help me pay off all this bull and get my L's bacc at least by January. Any advice?

I have been a teller 6 months. I gott an email saying that there was a new HR admin assistant position available. It also said to let them know by friday. I am thinking that telling the HR in person instead of emailing would show more interest. What should I say or what message should I send?
I do not have experience in HR. I have an associates degree in accounting and a bachelors in universities with an emphasis in math and Spanish.

The reason my boss gives is, she dosn't feel my worker is giving the job her best...or, that my worker has the right attitude. I know my boss is wrong on both counts....in fact, I know the top boss is simply lookingfor ways to save money in the company....in my opinion, there are other ways to save ....in my opinion, this move only diminishes everyones desire and drive in the company.

Here are my questions. If you were in the position I describe would you (a) look for a new job immediately (b) contact the boss directly to discuss this issue.
How would this make you feel ? Would you feel that you were not a valued employee ? Would this hurt your self esteem ?
Thanks !

ok, this MAY sound like a dumb question ;)

every office says it needs data entry skills and make it seem very important and difficult.. which i doubt...

anyway, i've worked at a travel agency entering flight info on computers, i've worked at a store entering product inventory and info into the store computer. is this considered data entry? i saw on an application numeric and alpha numeric..

what does data entry usually entail?

In seeking employment, 'cost accountant' continues to
come up when using keywords regarding my experience
and abilities. Would I be correct in assuming a cost accountant
would basically be a bean counter?

Figuring costs down to the penny highly interests me. Would
there be a particular college course which may be helpful in this field?

Many thanks.

I went on an interview for a position as an Executive Assistant. I thought everything was going well because I was asked to come back to interview 5 times. Well the 5th time I met the owner of the company and interviewed with him. After we talked he told me that " Some times we are looking for oranges, sometimes banana's, but you are an egg-plant." " At this time we aren't looking for egg-plants". I felt insulted but I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by that. What is your opinion?

My attendance record at work is almost perfect. For the past year, I think I have been late once, and I think I called in sick once.

I'm in college, and hopefully this will be my last semester to get my Bachelor's degree. Well, I have a major test tomorrow, and I need time to study and to catch up on other schoolwork.

Mondays are the worst days of the week to call in, but it's not like I can reschedule my test.

I've already decided that I'm going to call in to work. Should I lie and say I'm sick or truthfully state that I need the day off to take a test and to catch up on schoolwork.

Let me add that my employer has been very flexible in the past to give me time off for school purposes, but I always got the time approved in advance.

What should I do?

I need to make some money real soon because my car might go into reposession in about 3 weeks if i dn't pay them last months payment. I am late on

I think i am getting anxious , since i need to find a job
and i have couple of companies in mind..
But the thought of customizing my cover letter and sending it to them through email just gives me a panic attack . I don' t know why ??
then later when I do make up my mind to do this , i lose interest in the company all together and make up a lame excuse and NOT DO IT!!
What is wrong with me. Am i stupid??
i need a job ( that's the problem)

and sometimes i think , these jobs are posted right there on the internet . ( and i know I have a good resume and a good cover letter) but I feel like there must be 100's of people who is applying for the same position and what are the chances for me to get an interview !

How can i dust myself off and gain some Confidence...
What do you think ?
Any answer would make my day!!
Thanks.

A President and CEO of a company emailed me that he was impressed with my resume and asked me to come in for interview. So I did. He told m that out of around 100s of resume, my resume was one that attracted them. During the interview, he asked me, How is my computer skills. I said I am okay, good enough. He asked me what is my salary level desired. I told him whatever you posted on the website. That was just it. Then they asked me if I have any question. I told them not really and I told them that I would ask question as I work for them. If they liked my resume but they didnt ask too much question during the interview, will I mostly like to be hired? if you are boss what do you think? Any interview experiences?

My boss is extremely mean and he doesn't like me. Everyone knows it, co-workers often take up for me.He is so mean to me, I have decided to quit. I don't plan to list him as a reference. I don't think he would give me a good recommendation anyway. Is it necessary to put in a two weeks notice, if my new employer wants me to start immediately?

I work for a small company, we do not have many procedures. My problem is that me and my one co-workers jobs are intertwined. She seems to miss a lot of work (30 sick days this year) and she has been off for another month so far on personal leave as she hurt her hand at home (totaling 60days and counting off of work). Now all these days she has been of all her work gets dumped on me. I have to put on 50 hrs a week & still can't keep up (I am not being paid overtime and am paid on an hourly basis). I have asked my boss when we can expect her back to work as I am getting overwhelmed and he doesn't know and says he will call her, then doesn't. I ask him again and he blows me off. She has yet to produce any proof that she did indeed hurt herself. I am feeling very taken advantage of here and would like to know what my options are if any to make them resolve this, either by hiring a temp or something. Anyone else gone through something like this?? Help!!!!!
