I applied for a position where I currently work. Right now, I have it easy (from 8am to 3pm). I take classes in the late afternoon, unrelated to my work.

In my interview, one person asked about my current schedule. I (stupidly?) said that if the job was offered to me, I would probably be able to work regular hours, like 7 to 4.

Because of how far I live and my classes that I take, the best schedule that I could work out would be probably 7:30 to 3:30pm. It would take me about 1.5 hours commuting each way. I don't care about getting a lunch break (I am used to working thru lunch) and I have no problems working from home, responding to emails, etc. I do this already anyway.

The dept is close to offering me a position (per HR person). If/when they offer, can I try negotiating? People in dept work 7-4, 8-5, 7:30-4, a whole mixed bag. 7:30 to 3:30 would be"ideal" (not as great as now, but whatev). 7 to 3:30 would be okay...

How do you feel about your nursing career? would you reccomend it to someone like me:
-i cant work in a cubicle
-im a social butterfly
-i loveee children and caring for the elderly
-im in shape
-i cant work 5 days a week. i wish to work like 2 or 3 but get a good pay.

well i have talked to two nurses. one has been a nurse for 10 years and she hates it and says its backbreaking work and extremely tiring and draining. another nurse (has been working for 2 years) said she loved it and couldnt have found another job and is wonderful because she only works 3 days a week and can support her extreme shopping sprees :) and she loves people.
so im posing this question to all nurses!!
how do you feel about your career??

I'm a hard working 19y/o searching for a job. For someone my age, my experience (career wise) overqualifies. At the age of 19, I managed to work in security, sales, retail, telecommunications, fashion design and my biggest accomplishment - co-own & manage a 1000sq. foot clothing shop.

I've done a tremendous job in all of my past positions, even had awards and positive feedbacks. But when it comes to applying for another job, I kind of "chicken out" and think that I won't get a response after sending my resume or application...And during interviews, it's so hard for me to be myself and explain/describe myself to the interviewer. I run out of words, making the interviewer think that my resume/application is all BULLSHHHT...

Can anyone relate? help?

I'm looking for a job and I have seen a few for this position. It seems like an independant contractor type of job where you drive your own vehicle. Does anyone do this for a living and can tell how much I can expect to make

already? I have a total of 75 credits from all the colleges I have attended, but I need a bachelor degree that is verifiable when I apply for positions. I know the positions and what to do, but that piece of paper is keeping me from a higher paying job (basically a resume/candidate eliminator).

Any suggestions??

i haven't been very well this year and i've used up almost all my sick days. i think i can only take one more until after next april. i know as winter aproaches that i'll be sick again, everyone is at this time of year. i never take days off just for a bad cold, unlike some. i know that one more day and i'll face some kind of disciplinary action. but should i really face that and have it go on a record for a potential new employers reference or hand in my notice where they are not allowed to say anything bad about me?

I'm a 4.0 student in highschool but i still don't know what I want to be.
I know that it would probably be in business, computers, or the medical field. Something with science or computers. I might be a business leader or something. Anybody know a high paying job of these categories. Or a website with a list of careers and pay salary or whatever.

I work for a department store, I dislike my job and really want to leave. The problem is that I have made lots of friends there and I do like the environment, its just the job/department i work in, which I dislike.

I have an interview for a concession within the store this week, but its going to be extremely awkward for me as i'll be worrying that i'll bump into my manager, and It will probably be obvious i'm going for an interview.

I really want to pursue this, and why shouldn't I? But what can I do if my manager finds out and especially if I don't get the job and have to stay. Can he fire me for applying elsewhere?
