The non-profit organization I am looking into is in the fine arts industry, more specifically, opera. The location of where I would work is in one of the major US cities. I have a bachelor's degree in the fine arts. What price range should I negotiate with them?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Here's a couple of reports of average salaries in the nonprofit sector that I hope are helpful:

Also, here's an article about determining salaries in nonprofit:

As well, here's a story of someone working at an opera's development office:

If they make you an offer that is not enough, then refuse it. Period.

I can not tell you what to expect in salary, though.

But, since they are a non-profit, they should have public records which list their expenses and overheads. You will need to look at the Secretary of State's office for the past filings.

Good Luck.

i might pass to BLS.GOV/OCO link to work out the industry style in non-income agencies. they should supply you a itemizing of jobs at non-income agencies and how plenty they must be making. the positioning is the Bureau and exertions documents. I worked for a non-income and for complete time preparation Coordinator they have been offering between 28k-30k a year. undergo in concepts that those salaries pop out of the investment they get carry of to run the courses. some govt administrators could make over 50k-90k watching the size of the non-income and the courses they run.

It's hard to say. It depends on what you would do. Fundraising pays better than box office. Look at 990's for the organization at www.guidestar.org. However, they only list salaries for the top five people if they make $50,000+ However, that will tell you what they're paying your boss-to-be.
