A week ago yesterday I quit my job with a home owned housecleaning company. My former boss has blocked my phone calls and email--I just attempted calling today and discovered this. I am still owed for a week's worth of work. Do I have a legal right to be paid or is that null because I quit?

If I never had any experience in it? I've worked as an accountant at a florist and a counter girl at a cafe. I just got back from an interview at a store in a mall. I feel like it went badly. I wasn't expecting many of the questions... "What will you bring to the company?" What are some good answers? I was honest and said I was hardworking, but I felt so unprepared. At least I know what to expect next time...

I started a job in August, and I am still working at it. However, during my interview she said that I would get a raise once training was over. I am not learning anything new.

I'll be going to school to earn a bachelors degree and possibly a masters, but I have no idea as to what I want to major in. I want to make sure that it's something the industry needs so that I'm not wasting money on college. Any suggestions as to what you feel are needed careers?

I'm pretty sure it is. I can read people like a one-gigabyte stick of ROM. Thus far, my powerful brain has blasted me through college and created for a me a steady but determined path to the top
for my career.

Lately I've been wondering what the best use would be for my brain. Right now I'm a computer programmer, but maybe I'm in the wrong major. Given my unique ability, it might be put to good use as a presidential campaign manager.

What are other potential careers for a person who can read the minds of others?

So here is the story. One of the girls at my work (she doesn't work in my department, but will come hang out in my office), threw the water out of a cooler over a second story balcony. she didn't know it at the time, but she got someone wet- i know she didn't mean too. Well, a few days the guy came in and complained to my boss and said that her staff had done this too him. They assumed it was me because I was the only employee in the office that day. I told them it was not me and to ask her. Well, they haven't asked her. I feel like if i make a big deal out of it, then it will look like i'm guilty and trying to cover up my tracks. Should i approach the girl and ask her to tell them the truth or should I just let it go. i'm not in any real trouble, but it bothers me to be accused of something that I didn't do and that is totally out of chracter for me. I feel hurt that my co-workers would actually believe I would do that. I have enough common sense to know not to do that!
