If your family's not willing to stick with your whether poor or rich, they're not worth being with.
Anyway, if you're from a non-English speaking country, please study English. Also, it would be really great if you study French. You're not necessarily going to need it, but we all study French here in Canada at some point, so you might as well get that in common with the locals.
Go to a Canada Employment Centre. They'll help you out. They have a database of available jobs, they have phones, faxes, computers, everything you need for looking for a job. They probably even have classes on how to find work. They should be able to answer just about any question you have about working.
Anyway, do your best. And remember that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

What are your skills? Where are you coming from? Where in Canada are you moving to?
I live in Calgary, Alberta and there is a boom going on here right now. Lots of jobs, but hard to find a reasonable place to live because real estate is booming also!

It would help to know what your training is. Are you getting a Visa to work in Canada? If not, you have to get one to obtain a job.
