I am a 16 year old school leaver. I left due to family problems and have no qualifications eg standard grades.

I am now making a CV for a job. I've got things to put under Personal Details, and Employment (I have done lots of jobs), but what do i put under education, or how do i get about telling the employer i have nothing,

I am applying for a simple admin assistant job.

A quick 10 points to first serious answer.

I have a full time job and I am also on the board of governors for a local secondary school. Recently, the chair of the governors has informed me that I am entitled to take paid time off work to attend any necessary governor meetings during office hours, and that I should discuss this matter with my employer. However, the vast majority of meetings are held in the evenings.

Do you think that I should talk about this with my employer in order to persuade him to let me take paid time off work to attend any future meetings and perhaps risk getting into his 'bad books', or do you think I should just use my annual leave in order to attend any future necessary meetings.

Thanks

Also, does it make more sense to work for a big 4 accounting firm, or go straight to the field. I have heard the big 4 have extremely long hours and travel frequently. At this point in my life, I am seeking more of a work and life balance, which is what I was hoping the credentials would provide to me. Any thoughts on what the starting salary would be at the big 4, vs the same entry level and lower stress job elsewhere?

Can I work at home as a Medical Transcriptionist without experience working at a medical facility? I'm reading that you -need- to have a year or two of experience working at a hospitol or drs office before you can hope to work from home. I always thought of this as a career that could let me stay home with the kids, aside from the education and certification process of course. Anyone? Thanks very much.

My new promoted boss and I worked together in the hotel. I have a history of being supervisor for 12 years. When her boss is away for a week we worked on repairs that needed two personnel. She is reluctant to enforce good discipline with all staff. We have implied authority to speak to housekeepers and maintenance. I have verbally corrected wayward staff members of misconduct. I then get two emails this week saying she appreciates my work helping her with resources and all. And also states she is one step behind me. She also says she wants to handle personnel issues if thats alright and how can she learn if I am doing it all. What is my new bosses message for me?

I am 27. I have my BS in Psychology, and I work in Human Resources. Though I feel like I still am trying to find my career. I was thinking about becoming a chiropractor, then I learned that it was not a good profession to go into anymore. Then I started looking into Clinical Psychology, and I found out is very hard to have your own practice these days. I would like a profession where I would have a small office and people would come into see me. Can anyone make any suggestions about some careers that are well paying, ethical, and would allow me to have a small private practice?
