First shift is a general term, usually roughly 9 am to 5 pm. It depends on the lunch period, it could be 8 am to 4:30 pm. Also, how many hours are in a shift? Perhaps it is part time, and the hours could be like 9 am to noon.

The term is vague, like "lunch time." Some go at 11:30 and some go at 1:30. But lunch time commonly begins at noon.

I would think that most banks only have one shift. I would also love to have bankers hours...I'm at work right now and it's 313 in the morning. Shouldn't most normal people be sleeping? Ugh!!! Sometimes I really hate my job!!!
