Im 15 and I want to become both a writer and a social studies for college students. I was talking with my mom today, and she said that the first few times i will, more than likely, get my books rejected. She said that after i make 2 or 3 good books i will be well known and then they will publish all of my books.. Is this true? And also, since i want to be a social studies teacher, do you think i could do both? Just in case you want to know, i love teaching, i love social studies and i love writing.. thanks and have a good night

to say. I try to stay on top of current events for conversation. Sometimes I feel the conversation turning personal, so how do you keep the conversation light and flowing with the boss at lunch time?

i'm scheduled to work on sunday the only prob is that i'm going to be out of town that day. i forgot to request off b/c i'm planning on quitting + i thought i wouldn't work there nemore by now but i still do. i've tried to switch with all the people who are trained to do what i'm scheduled for, but they're either working already or they can't switch with me. i work at a restuarant + my boss is pretty stuck to the rules so if i can't make it, i need someone to cover for me. my parents say i shuld tell my boss i'm not gonna be there on sunday + that i'm really sorry for the inconvienence, but i know if i do that then he'll make me call people until i find sumone 2 work 4 me.+ i don't like 2 talk 2 ppl i dont usually talk 2.(i'm shy) i was thinking that i could call in sick that day so i could get off but so far, that's all i've thought of. i don't know of anybody else i could call cuz i've asked everyone that could possibily help me. i'm so confused, wat shuld i do?

I went for a phone interview with a company that I thought was a great position to work for great benefits. The employer was please with my experiences, however I told him that I can't work on Sunday. His replied that the full time position includes Sunday. In my mind, I was like "oh man :(". He then mentions that he notices that I check Part Time and Temporary. He went on to say that he going to have a part time position coming next month and told me that that this will not have to includes Sunday. He ask if I can work in Part Time? I said "Yes" and his replied was that "I will keep that in mind." Does that mean that he will think about it? What is the odd that he might forget? Should I call him couple week before the opening for reminder? I am looking for hope and have never been hired into a "good" pay or benefit offered job. Generally, they are paying me $15.50 per hour in call center working as a technical support.
