I'm at the beginning of my career and i really like what I do especially when i'm working with people I llike...but my husband would like me to consider leaving my job and he's tryign to convince me a million ways why working for him would be so much more beneficial to the family and myself in that I woudl be making more money, but for me money is not an issue, I don't care if I make more money or not...anyways I am having a tough time making the decision because I feel a bit pressured to leave my job when I really don't want to but then I do want to help my husband too...what would you do?

I have a degree in Business Management/Marketing, but HATE business. I went to school for teaching, but after a year I changed my mind. I also droped out of hair school. I am very artistic. I love to draw, read, write, decorate my home and make beautiful pastry. I am also very carying and nurturing. I love to help others and take care of others. I always try to put everyone before myself. I like listening to others and trying to help them with them work out problems. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and although I know nothing about the mechanical aspects of cars, I have no problem opening up the hood and trying to find out what is going on or fixing the pipes unders the sink. I also I am 35 years old and my girls are in high school. I have been struggled financially all of my life and would like to have a job that will provide me with more financial security. I also would like a job that I will not dread every day. I get bored easily and need a job with variety.

I'm currently studying Entrepreneurship (management+accounting+economics) in a university in the UK and will end up getting a MA(Hons) [which is a bachelors' degree] after all the hard work. Now, after this I'd like to go to the U.S. to work in a managerial position (starting from trainee manager if nothing else).. Now, what kind of degrees do employers require in such positions? i.e. would I have to have a masters degree? And does anyone know a good website for these type of issues/whatever-you-might-describe-it-as?

I know someone who recently got a job as a CNA and when the employer did a background check she was fired. Reason given was her husband had an arrest on HIS record for possession of a controlled substance (it was a small amount of pot and he did not have to go to prison.) She is the bread winner of the family with two children. She is appealing the decision but I wondered if this was normal business practice and is it legal? How can his actions be held against her?

Hi,

I am thinking about changing my career as they are many prospects for me at the moment, and I seem to get stuck into a boring nine till five admin job.

I have qualifications in administration and childcare, I would love to go self employed but not sure what I could do!!

I have a passion for animals, make-up, and I am a friendly person. I am 22 years old but I am thinking that there has got to be more to life than filing and answering a telephone!

Any ideas then??

Thanks
