probably because she is quite young and there are often horrid things happening to people in hospitals, also other than helping deliver food to people or going around with the nurse there would not be alot she could do. What kind of job in a hospital does she want to do live caring for people etc as the school maybe able to help with some other place.

Because now you have to get a disclosure done before working with the public, this is a document that details any previous convictions.
Also, 14 years old is considered too young to be able to deal with sensitive matters that go on in a hospital. She would be seeing naked people, incontinence (and its not all confined to incontinence pads!!) and dometimes, death.
Its not all about having cups of tea with kindly grannies.

(PLEASE SEE SUGGESTION BELOW if you are refering to Birmingham, England. My first paragraph is based on the hospital being located in Birmingham, Alabama USA.)
The federal labor laws may prohibit the employment of your daughter because of her age. Also, the hospital has to consider what their insurance policy covers (in the event your daughter is injured), as well as the HIPA (confidentiality & privacy) law.
SUGGESTION: Have your 14 year old daughter begin as a volunteer as soon as they will allow her to. Volunteer work is EXCELLENT experience for that first paid job. Volunteer work also looks good on her applications for college as community service.

She is probably to young under the law to work around hazardous materials or some of the equipment. Or, they may have a minimum age, for insurance purposes, that they can let people work in the hospital.

The hospital probably feels she's way to young. If she's still interested a few years out, she might be accepted. They typically have a limited number of spaces, and reserve them for people who are closer to actually starting work, both in age and in education.

It all stems from a court case a few years ago. An elderly doctor mistook kids on work experience for 1st year Medical students and had them try to administer Injections and take blood!!!
You can imagine the uproar and panic this caused not to mention the money paid out in compensation!

i think of that is going to likely be a puzzling component of forbid, so that is in all possibility a win for you in case you enable her do it. whether that is a difficulty to you, it would be incredibly worth having a talk approximately sexuality. i'm frankly very much shocked that some mothers and fathers shell out the money to pay for his or her 14 twelve months previous ladies to get brazilian bikini waxes. the entire thought approximately dressing up your pubic hair means that that is going to likely be on reveal. good now she's by and vast thinking, it style of feels, approximately being on reveal and approximately installation in with different ladies her age. the area is approximately it translating into sexual reveal with boys her age, which I think of is something you're greater nervous approximately. So if it become me, while we had the debate approximately shaving and shaping the pubic hair, we would have an remarkable user-friendly heart to heart approximately how peer stress is coming her thank you to engage in some tremendously severe intercourse acts (hand jobs, blow jobs, intercourse), and how will she cope with that?

She really is much to young to be involved in serious nursing work. I am sure you will say she is capable but at that age the Nursing staff are far too busy to shield her from any unpleasantness that may occur in her presence.
I would not allow my child to work in any hospital ward.
If she really wants to take up Nursing , I commend her but please have her wait for a few years more.

Its probably something to do with her age and liability insurance. Also the problem of staffing and her being supervised. People just don't have the time or resources these days. It also would depend on what she wants to do. Its a shame.
