I don't know - I suppose it depends on what you are going to sell and whether other people are selling a similar item and prices etc.

I sell quite a few quality products on there, just as a hobbie really and it is a great way to make some extra cash.

In the long-term though .. could you rely on this as a main source of income for yourself or your family? and you have not got a pension scheme with it etc.

It is worth looking into and doing your research.

I dont think the average person makes money. At first Ebay was good but there are so many scammers now and fake goods for sale - I honestly found selling on there a hassle for very little profit. I think the only ones that make money are those with shops and paypal in commision xx

It depends on what you are selling I would guess but think that it would be better to have a job for your main source of income and make some spare cash on the side with ebay

There is a woman who makes and sells furniture. She sells it on ebay for double what she would usually sell it and makes a fortune!

Hmm...didn't some woman from Lancashire do it earlier this year - much to the joy of the national (populist) press...as we've heard nothing since, either she's bored with it, or has been skanked blind by dears - from the usual countries - who saw her coming!
