I hate how I'm supposed to 'look busy' when I have nothing else to do all day, hence the reason I look at Yahoo! Answers several times a day (lol). If you've ever had a job like this, how did you cope? What did you do? And why did you decide to stay with the job??? (I'm staying bc they pay me really really well for the amount of experience I have).

There's always so many people on here, just wondering, are you at home..why? Are you at work...where do you work and what are you doing on Yahoo Answers?

I'm so nervous. I'm waiting for a call from a financial institution about a job. They said to call them, but when I did, the person I needed to talk to was out of the office and would be back between 1pm and 1:30pm. Should I call her back or just wait for her to call me? What do you do when you are really nervous?

I mean I work at this job as a CNA and we answer call lights and make rounds on the Geriatrics that reside at this facility, and everybody just seems to go to sleep. I stay awake and try to answer all of the call lights, but this is a big facility and I can't be everywhere at once. What would you do; especially when you know that the one's who are sleeping are the bosses favorites????

I used to be General Manager of a business, but when my wife became pregnant with twins, I scaled back to Engineering Manager so I wouldn't have to work so much and was more available to help with the kids. They are now two and I am looking to be a General Manager again at a new company. I am afraid if I tell them this reason for the demotion they will take it as I will be leaving all the time when something happens with my kids. I work in a very "old generation" fathers type of industry.

My department has a vacant position that they have not stated whether they are hiring someone or not to fill it. I know for a fact that they will fill it sometime within the next few weeks, its just a matter of posting the open position to the rest of the company. I have worked with people in that position for 3 years now and I would like to approach the manager and tell him I am interested, I have the experience to do the job, no doubt about that. Do you think I should approach him and tell him I want the job or should i wait until they post it.

I am 1 of an assistant manager in an office. The other assistant manager is a poor preformer. My boss the branch manager will almost poke fun of him with eveybody and you almost have to join him to have him like you. Both him and I went to a meeting at another branch and he was just going off about my counter part. And yet again you have to join in for the polotics reason. This other assistant is a dump-a** he will always leave early ect. but my boss will not put the hammer down on him. has anyone else been in a situation like this.

Ten years in Pharmaceutical Sales, I got laid off this past Feb. Doing everything possible everyday, I still have been able to get rehired. I'm getting really nervous and actually desparate looking for work. I'm doing Ebay and selling almost everything I have. I just need a job; any job with income. Any ideas besides Ebay?
