Ten years in Pharmaceutical Sales, I got laid off this past Feb. Doing everything possible everyday, I still have been able to get rehired. I'm getting really nervous and actually desparate looking for work. I'm doing Ebay and selling almost everything I have. I just need a job; any job with income. Any ideas besides Ebay?

10 years in sales? wow. there are lots of companies out there that would love for you to work for them. many sales forces see such great turnover that the companies are almost continually hiring.

but it would almost certainly mean relocation out of Colorado. and, it may mean that you have to sit in a call center rather than going around to various physicians' offices selling in person.

it may be worth it to hire a professional headhunter to place you in a position that is right for your skills.

Hi, I just started with a company called Arbonne. It is a direct selling company, but alot of people from your background have gone into it and do really great. It is a pure Swiss Skin care company that produces pure, safe and beneficial products. If you would like to hear about the company go to my webpage http://www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and click on the links on the right side of the page to listen about the company. People that are making big in this company have the education and background that you do. Good luck to you.

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. You will need a quiet enviroment at home without any disturbance. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website . A list of companies with websites is available at

Try snagajob.com. There should be SOMETHING ont there you can do. Mostly low end stuff, though.

Are you on Monster, Hotjobs, etc.? Pharma sales is usually a hard job to fill. Provided you can get good references, you should be able to find a good job in sales.

I know CO is kind of depressed, but still, there should be opportunities - even if you have to try car sales. Otherwise, you may need to consider moving.

Best of luck!

I'm sorry to hear this and I wish I could offer a quick fix, but it depends a lot on your location, background, constraints, etcetera. If you have few constraints maybe go to job web sites and look for jobs that require relocation and a lot of travel. Alternatively if you can afford the training I understand that long haul truckers are in demand and it pays pretty well (in the u.s). Good luck and keep your chin up!

Sucky as it is, have you looked at retail? You're looking at minimum wage, but considering that you have work experience you could potentially move quickly into a management type position. Meanwhile, work on networking outside of work - keep your ears open and apply for anything that looks good.
