For a management position, you'd better have a combination of appropriate training, education and connections. Otherwise, its the unemployment line.

Applying for a management position is easy, you just send off your CV for the appropriate job providing that you have the right qualifications and experience.
Getting the job? Well, that is a completely different question, isn't it?

A good well rounded CV for a start pleasent well turned out for the interview it sounds basic but be open friendly and informative try to come across as fair and easy to work with dont be controversial.
