If it comes up, give an honest answer. If you lie about it and are found out, things will be much worse.

Unless you have to drive for your job your boss doesn't need to know about it. If your driving record must be a part of your employment record then give the truth. Can you prove that will not be convicted of this? If so you should not have any record.

If you aren't going to be convicted of it, there is no reason to explain it. If there is a box that asks if you have ever been arrested you list it. Under the box (which is always there) where it says were you ever convicted, you put 'no'. Make sure your piss test will be clean, and it should not be a porblem.
Had one of those almost 30 years ago now, and it has never been an issue.

Be honest about the nature of the incident. Take steps to ensure that this NEVER happens again. Find a way to demonstrate that you have good judgment and will not be putting the company at risk.
Offer a probationary period (you'll get one anyway) to show that you are sober and committed to working the job. Use concrete measures to put this into place (AA or defensive driving classes for example)
Good Luck and if you are continuing to drink, please put a taxi service on your speed dial.

Own it.
Say I made a stupid mistake, and I learned my lesson.
If you try and explain it away with some cheesy excuse, you'll look like more of an idiot. Take responsibility, show remorse, you'll look like a mature person who once was immature, and did something stupid just like everyone else.
Good luck

Be completely honest. Honesty is something an employer looks for in an employee and they will respect your integrity.

if you are not convicted then why is it on your record. talk to your lawyer and get it removed or have them change it to whatever you are actually getting convicted of.
