hello, my fiancee is planning to file 1099 taxes. I was wondering for whom it is better to claim our child, me or him. I worked on a part time basis last year so my income is less than his. Which one of us would get a better refund, if any. I also go to school too.

I am in the state of Indiana, and I received a complaint and summons regarding an old debt on November 30. I pulled up my credit report and the last payment was made either in October or November of 2001 and I think it's now too old. Should I answer this myself, see an attorney, what?

I'm a 43 y/o male nurse and have been a nurse for 13 years. I have worked in ICU/telemetry and have also worked in hospice homecare. I'm currently working in a rehab facility. I am very much a type "B" person---I'm laid back, more of a "thinker", and I don't do well with stress and constant distractions, which seem to be such a factor in nursing work. I'm reluctant to leave nursing as I like the pay, but what area or related area in nursing could I work and still be happy?

I have some prospective tenants who have dogs, one of which is a Pitt bull. Even though these particular dogs may be gentle, the fear is that if they get out and injure someone, I, as the property owner could be held responsible.

I am wondering if the following options are wise and if there are other options I am unaware of:

Increased liability insurance.
Have tenant sign a document stating that they alone are responsible for their dogs.

My books are sci-fi, mystery, adventure and ghost stories. I advertise on free ads and google book partner and any place I can get an add cheap or free. I get lots of hits but no sales and the material can be downloaded or bought in print the downloads sell for $1.88 to $4.38 so should be cheap enough for anyone to buy but sales are very slow. Would appreciate any advice on how to stimulate interest or increase sales which are in the toilet right now.

I went to H&R last night...and the lady was too busy talking about her trip to pay attention to what she was entering and she entered my income wrong, and it stated that I only make $2000 a year..so it denied me..then she was like.."Oh, no" and tried to go back on the browser, to enter the info correctly. Once she did, they allowed her to continue, but at the very end, although they gave me the card, she said only $5.00 would be put on it..BUT lucky me..I can have my paycheck direct deposit...WHATEVER...has anyone had this happen, and can I have this somehow fixed..I should be eligible, and it is at the fault of the tax preparer...Also, how can I trust them to pay attention to what they are doing when they prepare my taxes if they have made such a SIMPLE airheaded mistake??? HELP
